The challenges over at Paper Sweeties are always ANYTHING GOES with the inspiration photo as your jump-off point. So you can use the colors, shapes, or theme to help you create your project. Here's the card I made using the "love" theme, and I pulled reds out of the picture too:

I used the striped pattern out of the Merry and Bright pattern paper as my background then used the With Love and Sweet Borders Sweet Cuts dies to create my card. I stamped the banner from the Hello Friend stamp set in black then added the 'Love you Much' sentiment in red and fussy cut that out and popped it up with some foam squares for some dimension....added some yummy seam binding and strawberry sequins and wa-laa! A super cute Valentine's card! All products used are linked at the bottom of this post :)

Please be sure to check out what the rest of my Paper Sweeties team mates have created for you - sooo much amazing talent - then be sure to come play with us!

Our theme this month is "Pets and Furry Friends" so I just HAD to choose this sweet image called Katy the Cat Lady, as she reminds me so much of my wonderful cat-lovin' friend, Tamie :)

Merry Monday #233 {Use 5 of something}

Happy Merry Monday everyone!
The challenge this week is being brought to you by Debbie and she's wanting to see 5 of something on your card. Here's her inspiration photo:

For my card, I used 5 different snowflake dies from the die set called Stitched Snowflakes from Lawn Fawn - I love how they mix and match and you can layer too!

Be sure to come and check out what the rest of the Merry Makers have created for you using Debbie's challenge - I love this one as you need to think outside the box and figure out what you can use 5 of to put on a card....thanks, Debbie! Cheers!

4 CC #335 {Watercolor}

Happy "4 Crafty Chicks" Thursday!

I am the challenge hostess over at 4 Crafty Chicks this week and I haven't done any watercoloring in YEARS .... so that is the challenge:

4 CC #335 {WATERCOLOR}

I decided to do something very CAS this go round as I haven't mucked with my watercolor pen for years....I absolutely LOVE the projects I see that are done in watercolor and I would love to dabble more in it so I am so excited to see the gallery fill up with ideas and inspiration!

I used my watercolor paper and water pen and used some re-inkers of Eggplant and Melon Mambo. Then, once it was dry, I stamped the sentiment from Reverse Confetti and added the 3 small pearls and left it CAS. I see now that I should have maybe moved my sentiment "up" a bit so that the "wishing you well" part was more visible. Here's a close up:

I am going to make sure I do more watercoloring in the future as I do find it very relaxing and fun....

I am entering my card into the following challenges:

A Bit More Time to Craft - Anything Goes
Country View Challenges - Anything Goes
Crafts Galore Encore - Anything Goes

I really hope you come play along with us Chicks! Cheers!
