4 CC #418 Just Because

Welcome back to another "4 Crafty Chicks" challenge. This week, it is our Crazy Egg Challenge and Tangii is our hostess-with-the-mostess. As there are 5 Thursdays in August, we throw out an Anything Goes challenge and do not have a twist. It's a creative free for all! Fun!

My card was made doing a crafty challenge with my ladies stamping group that meets each month. Our names are in a hat and each month, Diane pulls a name and gives that person a select few items out of her stash and we are to make a complete card using ALL the materials she gives us. I was given the die cut butterfly, striped pattern paper panel, the white doilie and the black horizontal strip of paper. We can use whatever stamps, ribbon, embellishments we want to complete the card.

I dry embossed the peach panel with my leaves folder then layered everything on black. The sentiment is from Fun Stampers Journey and the gumdrops are from Your Next Stamp.

Please be sure to check out what my other fellow Chicks have created for you using

We would love if you would come on over and play along with us this week - remember, it's an Anything Goes!

Life Begins After Coffee...

Happy Wednesday everyone! It's my turn to post on the Coffee Loving Cardmakers today and I am so excited to bring you this pretty pastel one-layer-wonder!

I have been watching a lot of videos on distress oxide inks lately and decided to give a one layer card a try. I searched up "one layer cards" on Pinterest and I came across this easy-to-follow video from Karin's Corner HERE and I used her technique to create my card.

I dug out my silicone mat, 3 pretty colors of Distress Oxide (Cracked Pistachio, Mustard Seed and Worn Lipstick), "Coffee Helps" stamp set from Fun Stampers Journey, some paper towel, and a water spritzer then got busy! So fun :)

I was feeling that the card needed just a little "sumthin' sumthin" so I added some silver pearls to the corners and coffee cup and I really love it. It's very simple yet has such wow factor in real life! And how easy to mail! Whoop! Whoop!

Thanks for stopping in today to see what I have been up to! Have a wonderful, java-filled day! Cheers!!

4 CC #417 {Back to School!

Welcome back to my blog everyone! Sorry I have been MIA for the past couple weeks, but life has been crazy busy...with working full time, lawn/garden/house chores, bookkeeping clients at home, and helping to run our 2's been full! LOL...

This week, it's my turn to throw out the twist for our Anything Goes challenge over at 4 Crafty Chicks and I am wanting to see some Back to School projects. Can you believe that summer holidays are almost over already?! YIKES...time just flies! I am already seeing the beautiful signs of FALL coming out in the trees and flowers/plants around the yard.

My card this week features a pre-colored digi from The Paper Shelter called The Vintage Teacher. She was so easy to print out and assemble and that's what I was needing - quick, easy and cute! :)

Be sure to hop on over to the 4 Crafty Chicks challenge blog HERE and link up your project with us. It doesn't have to incorporate the twist, but we'd sure love it if you did! Cheers!
