Caffeinated Christmas Card Challenge #52

Happy Wednesday crafty friends! I have a wonderful surprise today - I get the honor of being the Guest Designer over at the Caffeinated Christmas Card Challenge for the month of April! I am so excited to play along with their uber-talented team :) 

 

For my card, I chose this super cute Christmas gnome clip art from Etsy. Some days I like to have images I can use in a hurry and there are so many super cute ones out there! I used a bunch of scraps from the Sleigh Bells Ring paper pad from My Mind's Eye. I then embossed my "holiday cheer" from Waffle Flower with Gina K Bright White EP and used the matching die to cut it out and pop it up. Here's a close up:

I also decorated the inside and flap of the envelope:

I made this beauty at a stamping class last month and the cardstock and stamp set are older products from Stampin' Up! and the technique was new to me. I don't do much with stencils and that night, Diane showed us how to do stamping with stencils and ink - was fun! I hope you come and play along - here's a close up of my card:

Krafty Chicks Challenge #810 {Birthday Week}

Happy 'Krafty Chicks' Thursday! It's a new month (already - wow, seriously, where does the time go??) and the weather here in central Alberta has been so up and down and crazy. Snow, ice fog, rain, wind, snow, etc. Sure wish Mr. Sun would come out and pay us a visit for a few days in a row - would be sooo nice! Spring will be here soon I guess, so can't complain too loudly as I do love my winter "break" and the down time! :) 

The first week of every month is our "BIRTHDAY" theme and this is hosted by none other than our wonderful Leanne. So break out anything birthday related and come on over and join us - we would love to have you!

March Challenge at A Cut Above

Happy Monday! I am back with another post for the "A Cut Above" Creative Team! 

If you aren’t familiar with A Cut Above, we share monthly challenges that are all about die-cutting. The challenges are always anything goes - with the condition of at least one die cut used (defined by using a die cut machine, manual or electronic, not a purchased pre-fabricated die cut).

For my card this month, I went to my older stash of designer papers, and pulled out this beautiful floral piece. I used this gorgeous stamp from the set "It's a Celebration" from Pink & Main and embossed it with gold, then used the P&M coordinating die and popped it up for dimension. Here's a close up of my card:

Gold embossing is extremely difficult to get a decent picture of, but you get the idea LOL...here is a picture of the stamp/die set I also used:
