Eat, Sleep and Drink more Coffee!

Happy Monday crafty friends! I sure hope you are warm where you are because here in central Alberta, CANADA, we are in a deep-freeze, to say the least. Daytime temps are near -30C with windchills around -40C and night time low's are -40C with windchills around -50C! BRRRRR!!! I am enjoying a lot of warm bubble baths, crocheting and coffee as soon as I get home from work lol...remind me again why I live where I live?!? hahahah...ok onto my card...

I am up on the Coffee Loving Cardmakers today with this cute card made with some of my older coffee related stampin' stash. I came across this fun set from  Reverse Confetti - Drink More Coffee. Totally perfect for our winter right now ha ha! I decided to keep it fairly simple and clean - with some beautiful plaid paper.

I also die cut 2 coffee spoons from the Confetti Cuts that match this set from Early Espresso to add to the details of the card..so fun!

Thank you so much for stopping in to see what I've been up to - be sure to grab a hot cup of your favorite beverage and stay warm! Cheers!

coffee, coffee, coffee!!

Happy Monday everyone! Today I am up on the Coffee Loving Cardmakers BLOG sharing some "Caffeinated Creativity" with you all.

Mother Nature decided to unleash some nasty white stuff on us yesterday morning so now our ground is covered with a couple inches of snow. It's too early yet. I do love the winter and snow, but we need to get our crops off first...THEN she can unleash all she wants LOL! We are scheduled for more snow today, but we are hoping the weather people are wrong and we start getting some decent temperatures.

Ok, onto my card. I wanted to use my new-to-me stamp set/dies from Reverse Confetti - called Drink More Coffee. I went to Pinterest for some ideas on how to use the set and I came across this GORGEOUS card from Jen del Muro and I had to CASE it...

I tweaked mine a bit - adding another layer of espresso card stock under the main panel, coloring in my hearts on the foam in the coffee cups, moved my coffee die panels over to the right of the card and added some pearls for more detail. The coffee cup designer paper is from the coffee pad at Your Next Stamp. Thank you, Jen, for such an awesome, EASY card to create with this fun set!

Thank you so much for stopping in today! I hope you have enjoyed this installment of Caffeinated Creativity - grab yourself a warm drink and enjoy the rest of your Monday! Cheers!

4 CC #335 {Watercolor}

Happy "4 Crafty Chicks" Thursday!

I am the challenge hostess over at 4 Crafty Chicks this week and I haven't done any watercoloring in YEARS .... so that is the challenge:

4 CC #335 {WATERCOLOR}

I decided to do something very CAS this go round as I haven't mucked with my watercolor pen for years....I absolutely LOVE the projects I see that are done in watercolor and I would love to dabble more in it so I am so excited to see the gallery fill up with ideas and inspiration!

I used my watercolor paper and water pen and used some re-inkers of Eggplant and Melon Mambo. Then, once it was dry, I stamped the sentiment from Reverse Confetti and added the 3 small pearls and left it CAS. I see now that I should have maybe moved my sentiment "up" a bit so that the "wishing you well" part was more visible. Here's a close up:

I am going to make sure I do more watercoloring in the future as I do find it very relaxing and fun....

I am entering my card into the following challenges:

A Bit More Time to Craft - Anything Goes
Country View Challenges - Anything Goes
Crafts Galore Encore - Anything Goes

I really hope you come play along with us Chicks! Cheers!

I decided to use this cutie pie image and go with a little less traditional Christmas colors...I love how it turned out :)

I believe this cutie pie is from Whimsy but I could be wrong (someone correct me if I am, please) and the sentiment is one of my fav's from Reverse Confetti!

4 CC #253 {no stamping!}

Happy 4 Crafty Chicks Thursday everyone! It has been such an extremely busy week for my daughter, Kim, and I as our annual Ponoka Stampede was in town and we work the infield food booth for her competitive swim club. It's our only fundraiser for the whole year and it pays extremely well but man oh man - it's a tiring week!! LOL....now it's over and we can start our summer! Finding her a job and getting her a car - fun!

This week miss Leanne is our hostess-with-the-mostess and she's looking for projects with NO STAMPING! With all the dies that are out there right now including sentiment and word dies, this challenge is FUN! Show us what ya got!

For my card, I dug out my Reverse Confetti goodies and got to work:

My "for you" is cut out with fun foam for a bit of dimension and I added some gum drops from Your Next Stamp for some extra jazz...hope you like it!

Be sure to hop on over to the 4 CC challenge blog HERE to check out what the other chicks have for you and to welcome our newest Guest Designers to the henhouse! Cheers!

4 CC #247 {Sympathy}

This week at 4 Crafty Chicks, Tamie is our challenge leader and she's calling out for sympathy cards. They are probably one of the hardest cards for me to make. I wanted mine to have a pop of color so I decided to ink up a background stamp with Calypso Coral, stamp it off once, then stamp it on my cardstock for that added pop. I don't feel that sympathy cards need to be all dark, and gloomy. A touch of color is nice sometimes!

Thanks for popping in to see what I was up to - hop on over now to the 4 Crafty Chicks challenge blog and link up your sympathy card for us to see. We'd love to have you! Cheers!

4 CC #238 {Photo Inspiration}

Welcome back to another challenge from miss Tamie over at 4 Crafty Chicks. This is our jump-off inspiration picture - I think this kitty is so stinkin' cute....and well, Tamie is our cat-lover of the group so this is no surprise she gave us this awesome, adorable, colorful starting point:

I struggled which way to go with this one...do I just use the colors? Do I just use the kitty? Do I do both....so I tried real hard to incorporate both. Here's my take on it:

I wanted to keep it fairly CAS and I really, really wanted to dig out some felt and use that. I love how it cuts in the dies - like BUTTAH!!! So fun to work with. Thanks for the awesome challenge, Tamie! The kitty is from Paper Smooches, the sentiment is from Reverse Confetti, the felt is from MFT....

Come on over and share your card, scrapbook layout or 3D item with us. Click HERE. Happy crafting!

My daughter, Kim, actually colored up this Bugaboo 'Cupid brat' for me! I love the funky hair she gave him ;) Thanks, Kim!!
