Coffee is ALWAYS a Good Idea!

Hello everyone! Welcome back to my blog - today is the last Wednesday of the month, so that means it's my turn to share on the the Coffee Loving Cardmakers Blog.

For my card this week, I used some fun gold foil, stamps from Simon Says Stamp and a wooden veneer from our local dollar store...so fun!!

I started my card by cutting out panels with my My Favorite Things Fishtail Flag dies and then stamping my cups and coffee beans along the bottom of my white background. I adhered my wood veneer coffee cup and wa-laa!! Done! So cute and fun to make.

Sorry for the reflections in the photos in the foil, but it's very difficult to capture the foil without any! lol

Thank you so much for stopping in today to see what I've created for you this Wednesday...have a wonderful day - CHEERS!

4 CC #365 {Washi Tape}

Happy "4 Crafty Chicks" Thursday!

Thanks for stopping in to see what I've been up to :) This week, it is my turn to play challenge hostess and I'm wanting to see some washi tape on your cards! I love washi tape, but it's something I don't grab very often and I'd love to see some more ideas on using it....

4 CC #365 {Washi Tape}

My card was made very quickly with a variety of washi tape from Micheal's - I cut out a pretty butterfly from a die cut set from My Favorite Things, added the washi in strips on a panel behind the cut out and added sequins, a HELLO die cut from Stampin' Up - then cut out the whole main panel with my Wonky Stitched Rectangle die from Craftin' Desert Divas....easy peesy and sooo pretty!

I am entering my card into the following challenges:

Crafting by Designs - Anything Goes
Crafty Creations - Anything Goes
Crafty Gals Corner - Punches &/or Dies (I used both)
Creative Moments - Anything Goes

Thanks for stopping in today - be sure to check out what the rest of the Chicks have created for you - click HERE to head over to the hen house and get all the details and join us! Happy crafting! xoxoxo

4 CC #330 {New Year's Resolution}

This week over at 4 Crafty Chicks, it is my turn to bring you the challenge for the next week. I am wanting to see projects related to a NEW YEARS RESOLUTION you may have!

4 CC #330 {NEW YEARS RESOLUTION}

These cards were created at our group craft night using the MFT Quilt die and some scraps of pattern paper....here's a close up:

I have never quilted anything and my youngest sister dabbles in it and loves it. We were at a craft show together in September and we both bought a simple quilting kit - that she promised to help me make...as long as we did it TOGETHER!

She doesn't get to craft as much as I do and we do not get to do a lot of crafty things together, so we are making it a promise to each other to do it! Here is the same card but with a cobbler base:

I am entering my card into the following challenges:

Christmas at Sweet Stampin' - Anything Christmas
Inspiration Destination - Anything Goes
Cards and More - Christmas

Please be sure to hop on over to the Hen House and check out what the rest of the Chicks have created for you. We would love to see what crafty projects you come up with relating to YOUR new years resolution! Happy crafting!

I am entering my card into the following challenges:

4 CC #247 {Sympathy}

This week at 4 Crafty Chicks, Tamie is our challenge leader and she's calling out for sympathy cards. They are probably one of the hardest cards for me to make. I wanted mine to have a pop of color so I decided to ink up a background stamp with Calypso Coral, stamp it off once, then stamp it on my cardstock for that added pop. I don't feel that sympathy cards need to be all dark, and gloomy. A touch of color is nice sometimes!

Thanks for popping in to see what I was up to - hop on over now to the 4 Crafty Chicks challenge blog and link up your sympathy card for us to see. We'd love to have you! Cheers!

4 CC #238 {Photo Inspiration}

Welcome back to another challenge from miss Tamie over at 4 Crafty Chicks. This is our jump-off inspiration picture - I think this kitty is so stinkin' cute....and well, Tamie is our cat-lover of the group so this is no surprise she gave us this awesome, adorable, colorful starting point:

I struggled which way to go with this one...do I just use the colors? Do I just use the kitty? Do I do both....so I tried real hard to incorporate both. Here's my take on it:

I wanted to keep it fairly CAS and I really, really wanted to dig out some felt and use that. I love how it cuts in the dies - like BUTTAH!!! So fun to work with. Thanks for the awesome challenge, Tamie! The kitty is from Paper Smooches, the sentiment is from Reverse Confetti, the felt is from MFT....

Come on over and share your card, scrapbook layout or 3D item with us. Click HERE. Happy crafting!

Happy 4 Crafty Chicks Thursday!!

This week, it's Tina's turn to play challenge hostess and she is wanting to see FANCY FOLDS....now, I must admit, this one threw me! LOL...I went searching on Splitcoaststampers and came across this "Concertina Fold Card" tutorial...

Here is a side view with all the folds extended:

And...here it is from the front with all folds extended out:

I had a lot of fun making this card - took me a while to figure out how/what I was going to decorate with, but I decided to go Christmas and I love how it turned out! I used Festive Flurries stamp/die set from Stampin' Up!, Martha snowflake and leaf punch, Stampin' Up! snowflake punch and a couple MFT flourishes Dienamics....added gumdrops and pearls, and done!!

4 CC #207 {Lime Green, Turquoise and Pink!}

Happy 4 Crafty Chicks Thursday!

This week miss Tina is looking for certain colors on projects....check it out:

4 CC #207 {Lime Green, Turquoise and Pink}

I love this color combo!! Especially the neon's that are coming out lately....takes me right back to the 80's LOL...my image is a cutie-patootie MFT Pure Innocence and the sentiment is from MFT's set called "Friend Request."

I hope you get a chance to get crafty this week. Summer is coming to a close already and pretty soon school will be starting - as I get older, I just don't understand where the time goes. All I do know is that it GOES way too fast! :( The hustle/bustle of gardening/canning/freezing and preparing for winter and getting school supplies/clothes/books etc. all ready is a hectic time so try to cut out a chunk of your day and come get colorful with us Chicks!

Click HERE to take you back to the 4 Crafty Chicks challenge blog to see more "colorful" inspiration and link up your project! Cheers!

My card this week showcases a fun Saturated Canary stamp called "Bikini and Burgers" and I had a TON OF FUN coloring her up - I decided to go wild and crazy with her hair ;)

I really like the quote on this image as well....

Here's the final card:

STS #23 {Cheers!}

Welcome back to my blog everyone! This week is an extremely busy week for me - our annual Ponoka Stampede is in town and we run a food booth on the infield (for contestants and their families/workers) for fundraising for our daughters competitive swim club, The Ponoka Pool Sharks. I work breakfast shift every day, and usually every other evening shift as well...it's a crazy week, but I love it! The food booth is a ton of fun ....and who doesn't love to see all that cowboy "eye candy?" Added bonus, I say! LOL...

This week, our sketcher for challenge #23 at Seize the Sketch, is none other than miss Lee Ann! I really love this sketch - there are so many different things you could do with it.....thanks Lee Ann!
