Baby It's Cold Outside!

Happy Wednesday everyone! Wow, November 28th already...where oh where does the time go?! It was JUST summer time a blink ago wasn't it? And now, the hustle and bustle of Christmas preparations is upon us! I haven't even started shopping - ACK! But...on a good note, ALL my Christmas cards are out in the mail as of tomorrow. Including this beauty I am bringing you today over at Coffee Loving Cardmakers: 

I started by stamping the sentiment and coffee cup with Cherry Cobbler and cut out the mug with it's matching die. I believe this is from Lil' Inker Designs...

 I added the layers - plaid paper, woodgrain strip, vellum circle, greenery, ribbon, then I popped up the sentiment and coffee cup to give it some extra dimension.

I LOVE plaid and these colors are so pretty together! It reminds me of a traditional Christmas...I added a few sequins to give it a bit of bling and finish it off :)

Coffee Loving Cardmakers - Shaker Fun!

 

Hello everyone! Welcome back to my blog - today, it is my turn to share on the Coffee Loving Cardmakers Blog and I am so excited to share this super cute floral coffee shaker card with you all!

It was a lot of fun to create the cup full of posies - and assemble this fun shaker. I used some new-to-me goodies that I purchased/won after the Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop! Full lists of supplies will be at the bottom of this post. 

There was quite a bit of white space remaining after I had the card assembled, so I decided to get out my Copic Multi Liner and do some fine doodling around the outside and around the flowers and shaker cup - so fun!

My card took all of about 10 mins. to whip together - gotta luv that! I used 2 stitched rectangle dies from 'Lil Inker, stamped the Paper Smooches sentiment and then added these adorable mittens from Memory Box. Wa-laaa! :)

This is another card I made last month for my son's birthday (he turned 18 and was an all-star football player) so I couldn't resist coloring up this cutie to give him. These are the Broncs colors!

My card consists of some new designer paper I received for Christmas from a wonderful lady I call "mom" (thanks, Bonnie!), Lil' Inker Designs stitched circle and stars dies, sentiment is from Papertrey Ink and I threw in various colors of sequins! SO FUN!!! :)

I would like to enter my shaker card into the following challenges:

I cannot wait to see other ideas and designs for this challenge - I believe this is only my 2nd (maybe 3rd) shaker card I've ever created - so I'm looking forward to seeing what other designs and ideas are out there!

This is the first challenge of the New Year for us Merry Makers at the Merry Monday Christmas Card Challenge. Haven't heard of it, you say?!? Well, it just became YOUR LUCKY DAY!! I found a HUGE snowflake punch at Michael's right before Christmas, so I used my 40% off coupon and snagged it!! I have been wanting to make a card with it ever since and this was THE perfect challenge to do so! Thanks, Kathy!!

The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink and the main espresso panel was cut out using my favorite rectangle stitched dies from 'Lil Inker Designs. I dug through my stash of designer papers and came across this red plaid pattern - love it! LOVE THIS CARD - hope you enjoy it as well.

Merry Monday #127 - BINGO

Welcome back to my blog everyone...I hope you all had a wonderful weekend - outside enjoying the beautiful temps and sunshine! Pretty soon that white stuff will be back to stay, so we need to take advantage of every minute we can....

This week at Merry Monday, miss Kathy is issuing a BINGO challenge - check it out:

I decided to play with the far left up/down column: sparkle, die cut and red....

I used my 'lil Inker Designs stitched rectangle die and my new-to-me Memory Box plush poinsettia corner die....added some red cardstock inside the outline of the poinsettia leaves, some bling, stamped my sentiment from Papertrey Ink and wa-laa! Done! Easy peesy! This die is going to be used A LOT!! I can tell that already....it's so pretty!

For my card this week, I had an image already done up in my "ready-to-go-digi-folder" and I whipped it up quick last night! Gotta luv it when you have stuff colored and ready to go ;) This cute image is from From the Heart Stamps - I love these birds...they crack me up!
 

I cut out my main image with my 'Lil Inker stitched rectangle die and popped it up with foam tape over the ribbon. Added a bow and 2 stick pins and wa-laaa! DONE! :) I forgot to take a picture of the inside, but the sentiment says "One martini, two martini, three martini....FLOOR!" lol....

What a super-awesome theme for us this week - here in central Alberta, we are FINALLY getting some gorgeous, sunshine-filled, HOT days of summer! My card this week showcases a fun Saturated Canary stamp called "Bikini and Burgers" and I had a TON OF FUN coloring her up - I decided to go wild and crazy with her hair ;)

This week over at Merry Monday Christmas Challenge, it is my turn to play "challenge hostess" and here is my theme for the week:

 

 

 When I came across this photo I knew that it would make an awesome challenge since I have 4 large IKEA jars FULL of buttons on display on my shelf! YUP...on display, cuz they don't get used very often ;) Time to start using them more :)

The designer papers are from Bazzill called "Nordic Pines" and I used the notepaper die from Paper Smooches and my star dies are from 'Lil Inker Designs....I added black ribbon and red/white twine along with 2 buttons!

{Your Favorite Stamp} at Sweet Stampin'!

Happy Saturday!! This week the girls at Sweet Stampin' wanna see YOUR favorite stamp! I have loved Lacy Sunshine stamps for a while now, and this one in particular, Hippie Eleanor, has always been one of my ultimate favorites! I haven't done a shaker card for YEARS, so that's what I decided on for my project this week. I cut my window using my "Lil Inker Designs stitched rectangle die, then filled the shaker with various sequins from Pretty Pink Posh....Added some grass, a sun and a sentiment and wa-laaaa! Instant FUN! :)

 I was running extremely low on time, so I had to go CAS all the way! I think this card took me all of 5 mins to create once I decided on which stamps to use! All Papertrey Ink stamps and the rectangle die is from Lil' Inker Designs....I added some yummy sparkly gumdrops from Your Next Stamp! So fun!!

STS #23 {Cheers!}

Welcome back to my blog everyone! This week is an extremely busy week for me - our annual Ponoka Stampede is in town and we run a food booth on the infield (for contestants and their families/workers) for fundraising for our daughters competitive swim club, The Ponoka Pool Sharks. I work breakfast shift every day, and usually every other evening shift as well...it's a crazy week, but I love it! The food booth is a ton of fun ....and who doesn't love to see all that cowboy "eye candy?" Added bonus, I say! LOL...

This week, our sketcher for challenge #23 at Seize the Sketch, is none other than miss Lee Ann! I really love this sketch - there are so many different things you could do with it.....thanks Lee Ann!

 

 I had a lot of fun using different dies to make my card this week:

There is Reverse Confetti, MFT, Paper Smooches and Lil' Inker Designs all on this card :D I added some bling gems and white twine to my button die and wa-laa!! Done! These colors are from the new In Colors at Stampin' Up!
