Stamp-A-Stack #2

Welcome back! I thought I would give y'all a quick PEEK at what we will be making at my next Christmas Stamp-A-Stack on Nov 13th. The following 4 cards were CASE'd from various talented stampers. Some of them I changed up a bit to make them my own, the first one is pretty much a total CASE. I do not, however, have websites for you to go to the original. I saved the pic's to my computer thinking I would for sure remember where I got them, but alas, that is not the case. So, if you recognize any of these cards as your original work, or someone you know, PLEASE let me know ASAP so I can give credit where awesome credit is due!!!

OK, onto the cards......

Aren't they AWESOME?! I cannot *wait* to have the ladies create this set of 4! :) Thanks again, to the original cardmakers of these beauties! I had a lot of fun preparing them for my event....

Be sure to pop on over to Picture Perfect Creations Challenge Blog, Scrapmaster's Paradise Challenge Blog and 4 Crafty Chicks for some wonderful challenges - you still have a couple days left to enter!!! See ya!

Good morning everyone! Welcome back to another challenge from 4 Crafty Chicks. It's my week to host the challenge and I picked punches/dies for my challenge. I was super doooper excited to try my hand at making gorgeous pansy flowers using the butterfly punch from Stampin' Up! There are sooo many tutorials out there on how to make them. I chose the technique that I saw on It's an Inkin' Stampede....and let me just say - they are FUN and EASY, PEESY to make! I will definitely be making more of them to put on my cards in the future!

My card also qualifies for the following challenges:

ABC Cards - 'G' is for GLITTER
Creative Card Crew - punches

Stamps: Verve; Paper: Bashful Blue, Tangerine Tango, Whisper White, Wild Wasabi; Ink: Bashful Blue, Marina Mist, Concord Crush, Versafine Onyx Black; Accessories: perfect dots embossing folder, nestabilities, butterfly punch, 5 petal flower punch, jewel brads, dimensionals, glue pen, dazzling diamonds glitter, black marker

I hope you make some time to sit and get crafty with us CHICKS this week! There are so many things you can do with punches/dies. I cannot WAIT to see your wonderful creations. Be sure to link your card, scrapbook page or 3D altered item on the 4 Crafty Chicks blog for your chance to win this week's prize donated by Melissa.

Late Night Stampin FUN with Leanne....

Good morning my crafting PEEPS! My bestie, Leanne, is here for the weekend and it worked out just perfectly tonight that both my kids went to friends and my DH is havin a "guys night" so you know what THAT means, right?!? Yep...we got inky! Leanne and I picked up Melissa, and we headed down to Red Deer while my kids were doing their gymnastics/trampoline club and we hit Scrapbooker's Paradise....new goodies! {Yes, this is a NON-STAMPIN' UP! post folks...brace yourself ok? hee hee...}

Remember a while back when I showed you the sugar beads card that Loretta taught us at last month's stamping group? Well...I purchased this Tim Holtz Santa stamp with this technique in mind and I wanted to show Leanne how to do it. And....well, we just *HAD* to make a full card tonight .... here's mine:

Stamps: Santa Letter by Tim Holtz; Paper: Whisper White, Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive; Ink: Versafine Crimson Red; Accessories: finial press embossing folder, old olive ribbon, button, hemp twine, pearls, scallop trim punch, scallop edge punch, dimensionals, sugar beads, sookwang adhesive paper, pearls, Christmas rub-on's

Isn't it just go-juss???? I absolutely LOVE this technique! I might even make all my Christmas cards using the sugar beads. They are so pretty....a bit of bling and antique-i-ness all in one :)

My card tonight qualifies for the Stampin' Royalty challenge of "Ribbons," Tuesday Throwdown - "Anything Goes," Charisma Cardz Challenge - "Vintage," Fussy and Fancy - "Winter Wonderland," Pals Paper Arts - "Bring on the Bling."

Thanks for stopping in - I'll be back sometime this weekend to show you the cards and projects we will be making this weekend. Have a good one!

SPCC #70 - Trick or Treat 8-in-1!

Happy Monday everyone! Did you all have a good weekend? I sure did...I was in Banff, AB with my sister, Jackie. We enjoyed hiking, fine food, Starbucks, fresh mountain air, a day at the Banff Springs Hotel Spa and some "flow yoga." We did NOT want to come home yesterday....but, as we know - life goes on and here we are back for another awesome color combo from Scrapmaster's Paradise!

Samantha I *think* had Halloween in mind for this one - at least that is what I saw the first time I viewed them. AND..just so happened that I received a box of Stampin' Up! goodies last week so I just {had} to use my new letterpress plate! They are FUN!

My card also falls into the Halloween category at the following challenges:

Stamps: none; Ink: Craft White; Paper: Old Olive, Basic Black, Basic Gray; Accessories: Big Shot, Trick or Treat Letterpress Plate, Olive brads, dimensionals

These letterpress plates (pg. 42 of Holiday Mini) are soooo super easy to use! Ink up your letterpress with any color of craft ink (it works best to soak into the paper while being debossed) and then place your paper on top, add your top cutting plate, and whip it through the big shot. Easy peesy! I am going to really enjoy using them... I sure hope they come out with more.

Be sure to check out the other Color Divas blogs (on my righthand sidebar) for more inspiration this week and be sure to link up YOUR creation at the SPCC website!

Thanks for popping in and stay tuned for my Picture Perfect Creations challenge post for this week! Happy stamping....

4 Crafty Chicks Inspirational Challenge

Happy Thursday my blogland PEEPS! I am so stoked for today...my baby sista and I are getting packed up to head out to Banff, AB (Rocky Mountains) to do some hiking, sightseeing, SHOPPING, and a wonderful day at the Banff Springs Hotel Spa! I am sooo looking forward to it :) One can never go wrong with fresh mountain air, Starbuck's coffee and a day at the spa.....

*SNAP!* Ok, back to reality now .... LOL... our hostess-with-the-mostess over at 4 Crafty Chicks this week is Melissa and she came up with this "interesting" yet gorgeous photo for us to create with. I must admit, the only thing I kept seeing when I came back to look at this picture was a BIG PUMPKIN in my vision :) But, alas, I overcame that vision and found I could overcome my inspirational block - I think my card turned out pretty good...here's the picture:

so...then I was in need of a sketch to follow for this wonderful inspirational idea I had....and of course, the Mojo Monday sketch was the perfect fit for the image I chose: ...and without further adieu, here is my card using both challenges:

Stamps: Upsy Daisy; Paper: Whisper White, Garden Green, So Saffron, Peach Parfait DP; Ink: Garden Green; Accessories: So Saffron, Peach Parfait and Garden Green markers, green pearls, dimensionals, So Saffron ribbon, Martha border punch

I realize my ribbon isn't quite like the sketch asks us to use it, but I had to tweak it a bit to make my image work :) That's the beauty of sketch challenges...we can adjust them a wee bit to fit our needs, right?!? *giggle*

I sure hope y'all are able to sit with a great tasting cup of coffee, tea or hot chocolate and create with us 4 Crafty Chicks this week. I cannot wait to see the lovely projects that are made with Melissa's inspirational photo (it really is a nice pic, Mel!) Be sure to hop on over to the other 3 Chicks' blogs for more beautacious inspiration...

I opened my box of Stampin' Up! goodies on Saturday, and lo and behold, my new Two-Step Owl Punch was the first thing I saw and I just "knew" I had to play and make a card with it!
