{PIN}spirational Challenge #105

Welcome to another challenge from {PIN}spirational Challenges where the inspiration comes from a photo and off we go!

This is our inspirational picture for the week (soooo pretty!!)

And our wonderful sponsors are:

 Scribbles Designs - prize 3 digi's

I had the pleasure of using some pre-colored digi's from Fred, She Said to make my card this week and I went with the colors in the bouquet:

I fussy cut the flowers and leaves and used foam dots to pop up certain pieces for dimension. The circle was cut using my stitched circle dies and the sentiment is from Papertrey Ink.

Thanks for stopping in today - be sure to pop back in bit for a new challenge from Merry Monday!! Cheers!

TPE #248 {Color Challenge!}

This week over at The Pink Elephant, it's all about PASTELS! Yep, we want to see YOUR favorite combo in pastel shades!

I have to admit, I do not play with pastel colors very often. I am more of a rich earthy tones girl but I have always enjoyed mint green and light yellow.

I accented with black to make the colors POP. The image is from a brand new line of byLORi Designs created by Lori's daughter, Ella! She is continuing the line of creativity and boy-oh-boy are they CUTE! WTG, Ella! This girl is called Spring Liah.

The rest of the girls over at The Pink Elephant have some gorgeous color combo's for you to check out - click HERE to come play along with us! Cheers!

Merry Monday #106 {Gingerbread}

This week the challenge over at Merry Monday is being brought to you by our wonderful, Kristie, and she wants to see us use a gingerbread man/woman on our cards:

I scoured my WHOLE inventory of stamps (rubber/clear/digi) and discovered that I did not own even ONE gingie!!! Can you believe that?! Well...I went online and rectified that little problem at Bugaboo Stamps - check it out:

Isn't she just darling? I think so...and she was so fun to bring to life using my Copics!

Please come on over to the challenge blog HERE and see what the rest of the Merry Makers have created just for YOU! Join in on the fun, we cannot wait to see what you come up with! Cheers!

{No DSP at Sweet Stampin'}

Happy "Sweet Stampin' Saturday" all my crafty friends! This week, the challenge is "NO DESIGNER PAPER." Remember, that you have to have stamping of some sort on your project ;)

 The sponsor for this week's challenge is my Creative Classroom:

I wanted to use one of the larger sentiment stamps that I ordered from Papertrey Ink a while ago and accent it up with some "oh-so-fun" flower stamps and dies from Reverse Confetti! I had so much fun creating all the colorful flowers for this card :)

I am sorry to cut this post short and sweet, but I am frantically running around trying to get everything together for a very busy day tomorrow! It's our daughter's last volleyball tourney/windup PLUS her competitive swimming club's last fun swim meet/windup up/awards day as well! I am the Treasurer for the pool club, so I have had a lot of stuff to get ready! Thanks for popping in today to see what I've been up to! I wanted my card to be pretty, CAS and have wow factor...I think I have all 3 here. I used one of my favorite SU embossing folder called Modern Mosaic to create the bottom half of the card, then stamped my sentiment (from Reverse Confetti, added some black grosgrain ribbon, some leaves and flowers - wa-laaaa! Done!

EMBOSSING is a very popular technique, and I cannot WAIT to see what all appears in our gallery over at 4 Crafty Chicks this week -come play with us!! Cheers!

TPE #247 {Watercoloring}

This week over at The Pink Elephant, we are giving you a technique challenge:

Ella and the girls want to see all your creativity using "WATERCOLORING!"

I will admit, I *scoured* my whole newly-renovated/organized craft space for one itty bitty piece of water color paper - NO LUCK! ACK! So, I went in search of some other techniques using regular paper and water coloring and found one on You Tube. It uses Naturals White paper and "misting" water onto your marker-colored stamp image before you stamp on the paper. So that's what I did and then blended it with a blending pen to give it more of a watercolored look. I added my sentiment from Papertrey Ink in VersaMark ink and clear embossed it....I really like how it turned out after all the fretting lol....

Be sure to hop on over to The Pink Elephant's challenge blog HERE to see what the rest of the girls came up with for you...then, give it a whirl and add your card using the linky provided! Cheers!

4 CC #190 {Sentiment Only}

Happy "4 Crafty Chicks" Thursday!

This week, miss Tamie is our hostess, and she's issuing the following challenge:

4 CC #190 {Sentiment Only}

So, this means no other images - just a sentiment. Perfect for CAS cards and that's exactly what I did! I dug out my new-to-me Papertrey Ink stamp sets called Watercolor Wonder and Stylish Sentiments: Birthday and got busy with some bright, cheery inks:

I used my Lil' Inker Designs stitched rectangle mat to cut out my panel and added some black sequins - and wa-laaaa! Done in less that 10 minutes, I'm sure! And I don't know about you, but I think it has definite WOW factor :)

Be sure to hop on over to the 4 Crafty Chicks challenge blog HERE and see what our wonderful design team has for you to drool over....then get inky and come play with us! Happy crafting!

PP #191 {You Make me Smile!}

Happy Tuesday! I am enjoying a full "home-day" today (that's right...absolutely no errands, appointments, runs, or places I need to be) except the bus stop at 4 p.m. to collect my daughter! These days do NOT happen very often for me lately so I am taking full advantage - in my craft room!

I do not usually make "for-fun" cards either. Being on several Design Teams, I seem to just get those cards done and blogged and I never find time to just PLAY! So, that's what I decided to do today....I found this interesting color combo at The Paper Players and I have to admit....when I first saw the swatch, I was a bit unsure. Then I dug out papers in each color and was pleasantly surprised how pretty it is!! All I could vision was flowers/stems!

Here is my CAS card using last week's Paper Players color combo:

I chose to use this awesome sentiment from Papertrey Ink...isn't that font just PERFECT for this card?! Ya, I thought so too! *wink*

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges as well:

Natalie & Amy - Embossing
Through the Craft Room Door - Anything Goes + Embossing
Sweet Stamps - Embossing
Stamp and Create - Spring Flowers
Allsorts - Spring Flowers
Creative Knockouts - Spring is in the Air

Thanks for stopping in this afternoon - hope you have a fantastic day! We are scheduled for rain/snow over the next 36 hours - I am hoping they are wrong! Cheers!

3-in-1 Easter Wishes

I had a very miraculous thing happen to me when I created this card...yep, you heard right - "miraculous!" I could combine 3 Design Team commitments into this one card: {PIN}spirational Challenges, Twisted Tuesday challenges and Seize the Sketch! I was so tickled - I have been short of crafty time the past couple weeks, so when I realized I could "make them all work together" I did a jig!

The photo inspiration this week from {PIN}spirational is this cutie holding her bunny:

The sponsors for this week's challenge at {PIN}spirational Challenges are:

Elizabeth Bell (whom I had the privilege of using for my image)

The layout I made my card with is from Seize the Sketch:

I took the liberty of making my card a square 5.5 x 5.5 card to accommodate my image and butterflies....

The challenge at Twisted Tuesday Challenges for the next 2 weeks is "I Need Your Paperwork" so you have to use more than 3 patterned papers (I used 3 - third one is on the butterflies!)

THE TWIST: You can't do your paperwork without a pen. Show us writing or doodling on your creation (I doodled the butterfly trails).

Thanks so much for sticking with this post til the end ;) I know it's a long one! Please check out each challenge blog and join in the fun this week! All the DT's have made such GORGEOUS creations for you to check out! Happy crafting! xoxoxo

TPE #246 {For Some BUNNY Special...}

Welcome back to my blog :) This week at The Pink Elephant, we have a THEME challenge for you:

As you've probably guessed from my cutie image up there, yes, the theme this week is indeed EASTER!

This cutie-patootie is called Lollipop Bunny from byLORi Designs and I had a ton of fun creating this card for you this week...it was a very CAS design as I have spent all weekend with my bestie, Leanne, focusing on my craft room! Shopping at IKEA, Bed/Bath and Beyond, Michael's etc. for furniture and organizational items; purging and re-organizing - so I didn't have a lot of time to make a card this weekend!

Please be sure to hop on over to the TPE Challenge Blog HERE to see what all the talented ladies created for you this week! Leave us a link to your Easter creation so that we can leave you some love as well! Happy crafting!
