I subscribe to Gretchen Barron's newsletter and I am CASE'ing a card she did for the Tour de Freaks February Blog Hop....you can see her card/gift box HERE. I have seen this technique a couple times and I have been meaning to try it and when I saw Gretchen's LOVELY creations, I just "knew" I could use stars and make some birthday cards! :) Thanks so much Gretchen!
Stamps: Bring on the Cake; Paper: Whisper White, Early Espresso, Tangerine Tango, Pear Pizzazz, Marina Mist; Ink: Momento Black; Accessories: star punches, nestabilties, marina ribbon, markers (marina, tangerine, pear pizzazz), pearls, paper piercer, dimensionals, square lattice embossing folder
Doesn't that look SO TOTALLY COOL?! I think it's a very neat technique and I will definitely be using it more often! I made another card using a cute caterpillar stamp that I had in my STASH :) Isn't he cute!?!
Package contains one (1) package of Ballet Blue 8 1/2" x 11" cardstock (retired), 2 pkgs. Maya Road rub-on's, 2 handmade cards from ME :)
Alright...onto this week's challenge colors:
I am entering my card at Stampin' Royalty this week - their challenge is "Mark It Up!"...meaning to use markers however you want! :) FUN!
I hope you get some time this week to sit and be creative with us Chicks. I am looking forward to seeing your "things with wings" creations :) For more inspiration, please click on the other design team members blogs (links are on the right hand sidebar).
I have another busy day ahead but I am hoping to maybe sit and make a few DT cards this evening while my daughter has friends over to help celebrate her birthday that was back in December! LOL...we are leaving for Florida in 2 weeks and I need to get my butt in gear and get ahead of the game!!! Have a super day!
♥♥♥ Happy Valentine's Day! ♥♥♥
Are you ready for another "step-out-of-your-crafting-box" sort of color challenge? Well, let me say this...Samantha from Scrapmaster's Paradise has got just THAT color combo for you this week! I love it, yet it took me a little bit to wrap my brain around adding Pink Pirouette to Pumpkin and Pacific Point! :) I decided to print out one of my Kenny K girls and color her up a bit "retro" in a bright exercise outfit! I would love to give this card to my personal trainer at the gym cuz she DOES ROCK! :)
...this wonderful sketch fit the bill perfectly....thanks, Melissa from Tuesday Morning Sketches for this layout - I turned my card the other way so that it would work for my girl...
