VLV Sketch/CAS-ual Fridays meet!

Happy Friday, PEEPS!! YIPEE! The weekend is here, the weekend is here! Tomorrow, my kids' Grandma and Aunty are taking them skiing so I will have the whole day to myself - WHATEVER SHALL I DO?!? Craft, you say?! I am thinking so!!! And...a nice long walk....and a nice long bath....and read a good list is endless! BLISS!

Alright, enough about tomorrow's plans...let's get down to bizness about what I did TODAY :) I needed a sketch to start my card so I ventured over to the Verve Splitcoaststampers Forum HERE and low and behold, they are having a sketch challenge this week for the final challenge of February! Hop on over and take a look-see....lots of prizes up for grabs for entering the month-long challenges!

Here's their CAS sketch:

Seeing as how it's Friday, I knew that CAS-ual Fridays new challenge was issued so I scurried over to see what the girls want from us - "Add SILVER to your project." Alrighty then...that I did - I added a super cute double-heart charm to my twine bow! is my card:

Super cute huh?! I love it! I used my new MFT Stars Die-namics and cut some stars out of the white, then added bits of cardstock behind them, and stamped my Verve sentiment before layering down. I also used my new MFT Fish Tail STAX Die-namics to make the flags. Added the bordered center piece with twine wrapped around it then tied on my silver charm with another bow...voila!! Super easy peesy!

I hope you liked today's card - it was sure fun to make...take care and pop back in tomorrow to see what shenanigans I end up getting myself into ;) Ciao!

I found this wonderful color challenge over at Colour Q:

...and used some of my new My Favorite Things Die-Namics to make this pretty Mother's Day card - time to get stocking up for the store! The sentiment is from Verve....

Stamps: Verve
Ink: Momento Black
Paper: Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Pool Party, Always Artichoke, Cherry Cobbler
Accessories: MFT Die-Namics, Spellbinders, brad, dimensionals, embossing folders

I am also entering my card into the following challenges:

Thanks, once again, for poppin' in to see what I've been up to today :) I hope you find some time to relax with a bevvie and get crafty!! Ciao!

MFTWSC112 ... and a few others

Today I decided to dig out all my new goodies from My Favorite Things that arrived in the mail yesterday :) OH-MY-GOODNESS, did I have FUN making this card! My bestie, Leanne, and I hooked up our iPhones and we used FaceTime to cyber craft together...even when miles separate us, we can STILL find ways to spend time crafting with one another! Thanks, friend! ♥

I used this week's sketch challenge from MFT:

I took the liberty of "rotating" the sketch and then inked up my new A 'la Mode Cowboy At Heart onto some X-Press It! cardstock (love it!!) and colored him with Copics. I used the newly released Die-namic, Barbed Wire Fence, and then rolled up a bit of twine to make a rope and hung it on the fence in place of the element on the sketch :) I used dimensionals to pop up the fence posts and boy - oh - I ever love it!

I am also entering my card into the following challenges:

Totally Gorjuss - For the Men

Thanks for stopping in today - be sure to take some time and get crafty - it does the soul good!! ;)

4 CCC#130 - {Twine}

Welcome back to another crafty challenge from 4 Crafty Chicks! Miss Tamie is our wonderful "hostess-with-da-mostess" this week and she's really, really wanting to see you all tied up in knots....with......

4 CCC#130 - TWINE!

Well, ... maybe not "knots," but we'd love to see some twine on your cards, scrapbook layouts, or 3-D altered items. There are so many colors (like a rainbow!) out there, so it's easily incorporated into, let's see 'em!!

Here's my card that I made for my niece, Bailey's, 8th birthday last month - she loved all the "string" and the stars :)

Thanks for stopping in and be sure to hop on over to the 4 Crafty Chicks blog for more wonderful inspiration from our CHICKS and our wonderful Guest Designer, Valou!! Ciao!

Happy Valentine's Day!! Welcome to another 4 Crafty Chicks challenge - this week, miss Melissa is our hostess and she's issuing a sketch challenge. You can make it CAS or fussy it up as much as you like - as long as we can see the main sketch in your project :)

Here is my card that I made using Melissa's sketch - I kept it fairly CAS this time around and again, with the Valentine's Day theme:

Please hop on over to the 4 Crafty Chicks challenge blog and link up your project using Melissa's sketch - I can't wait to see what you come up with! Happy crafting!

CAS-Fridays meets The Pink Elephant (and a few others...)

Happy Tuesday!! I came across a new-to-me challenge site last week and I've been itchin' to get a card in to their challenge this week! CAS-Fridays are wanting to see us "use letters creatively in our CAS project this week" that could be die cuts, stickers, alpha stamps - etc. I chose to use my GoGo Boots dies from Sizzix for my "LOVE" lettering as that is what popped out at me in the inspiration photo from The Pink Elephant - TPE185:

...and here is my card using these two challenges:

My card is pretty straight forward this week with an embossed layer of hearts (Cherry Cobbler), some Crumb Cake seam binding, button and of course a popped-up heart to fill in the LOVE :)

I would also like to enter my card into the following challenges:

My Time to Craft - Love is In The Air
One Crazy Stamper - February LOVE Challenge
Simply Create Too - Valentine's Day or Hearts
Party Time Tuesdays - LOVE and ROMANCE

Thank you very much for stopping in this afternoon - I hope you are enjoying your day, full of blessings and LOVE (and maybe some ink, stamps, and paper???!??  :)
