I bought a new Spellbinders die set a while ago and haven't cracked it open- until now!! :) Rose Creations is a fun way to make gorgeous flowers for your cards! I used a new Spellbinders embossing folder also on my card - I think it turned out so soft and pretty!

Adding Texture at Totally Stampalicious!

For this week's challenge at Totally Stampalicious, the girls are looking for "TEXTURES!" Yep, we want you to make a card, scrapbook layout or 3D project made with embossing folders, fabric, what have you ...to create some TEXTURE!

I made this using the ever-so-humorous Red Hat Stella and used a new embossing folder from Spellbinders! I added some pearls for some extra texture...hope you like her!

Happy Sunday PEEPS! Life has been crazy busy for our household this summer and today I am *hoping* for a bit more of a laid-back, catch up, baking sort of day....we'll see if that is what happens! I did take the kids and their cousins to the West Edmonton Mall World WaterPark on Wednesday and they had an absolute blast and so did I - I got to walk the mall - all by myself!! OMGOSH what heaven that was ;)

4 CCC#98 - "STRIPES"

 
Happy Thursday! How is your week going? Mine's been going well...I am thoroughly enjoying some much-needed sunshine and working on my tan!! (I know, I know...and you're saying "and you made a WINTER card, Lori?!?!) This week over at 4 Crafty Chicks, Melissa is issuing a challenge to use "STRIPES" on a card, layout or 3D project ....

4 CCC #98 - "STRIPES"

I love using stripes and dots together on cards, so that is what I was setting out to do and I found myself being "lured" towards this wonderful paper pack from Bo Bunny called Snowfall...isn't it gorgeous?!? You can find my "stripes" on the very bottom layer of DSP....:)

I used the SU! snowflake die to create my snowflakes and I used Chocolate Chip ink to "distress" the layers...I hope you enjoy it!

For this week's challenge at Totally Stampalicious, the girls are looking for "YOUR FAVORITE EMBELLISHMENTS!" Yep, we want you to make a card, scrapbook layout or 3D project made with whatever you "must have" on a card. Most of you already know that mine are PEARLS - so that's what I used :)

I made this card for my Dad for Father's Day a while ago and this image is the ever-so-humorous, "Gus Fishing." My Dad loves to fish and camp - so this image was PERFECT for him :) I added my pearls, to all corners of the layers and also to the little fishtail tag :)

Totally Stampalicious Monday - RIbbons and Bows!

 Hi all! The challenge over at Totally Stampalicious this week is "RIBBONS 'n BOWS! We want to see at least one bow on your project! I decided to dig through my stash and I came across my Stampin' Up! wide chocolate chip striped ribbon - YUMMY!! :)

I then went digging through my wonderful sets and came across this cute patootie - Moo-velous to use on my card front...and I decided to leave him "naked" or un-colored! Seems so weird to do that - I've seen many artists leave images blank, and so I thought I'd give it a whirl and I think it turned out great!
