4 CCC#87 - NO STAMPING ZONE!!

Happy 4 Crafty Chicks Thursday!! This week, I am your hostess-with-the-mostess and I am issuing a NO STAMP ZONE this week at 4 Crafty Chicks!

So...I guess, this opens up the door to whatever interpretation you want - rub-on's, pictures, stickers, etc.

Being the last Thursday of the month, it is PRIZE WEEK and this is the prize I am giving away to one lucky participant this week - drawn by Random.org:

For my card, I decided to go the "rub-on" route. I had a card kit kicking around my craft room from Bo-Bunny, so I decided to make one up for this challenge:

I hope you enjoy it and I cannot wait to see what wonderful projects come of this challenge! Please be sure to stop on over at the 4 Crafty Chicks challenge blog, link up your creation and leave all the other girls some luvin' :) Happy creating!!!!

Paper Piecing at Totally Stampalicious!

Happy Totally Stampalicious Monday!

I hope you enjoyed your weekend - ours here in central Alberta was white once again - ol' man winter is sure hanging around this spring!! LOL...

For this week's challenge at Totally Stampalicious, the girls and I are looking for some "Paper Piecing!" Yep, we want you to make a card, scrapbook layout or 3D project made with some sort of paper piecing (NOT PIERCING) on your project :) For my card, I used this week's Sketch Saturday sketch but made my card a regular A2 with an oval image and sentiment instead of round:

Here's my card using the hysterical Stella Peeker Darth Vader and paper pieced her awesome coffee cup:

4 CCC#85 - Material/Fabric

Good morning! Welcome to this week's installment over at 4 Crafty Chicks! Miss Melissa is our "hostess-with-da-mostess" this week and she has a very FUN challenge for you all:

4 CCC#85 - MATERIAL/FABRIC (Ribbon does not count!!)

Are you up for it? I ordered some different colors of felt from My Favorite Things a while back JUST so that I could try my hand at cutting out fabric with my dies and big shot! :) I decided to use the clouds die from MFT for this card with oh-so-hilarious, newly-released, Stella Caution from Totally Stampalicious....

The clouds were so, so easy to make with the dies and big shot! Lickety-split and they cut so easy! I will definitely be using my other colors of felt to make flowers and other elements for my cards :) I cannot WAIT to see what wonderful projects come of this challenge - thanks, Melissa!

Celebrating "FRIENDS" at Totally Stampalicious!

Happy Totally Stampalicious Monday!

I hope you are enjoying your blessed Easter weekend with friends and family, and getting in on lots and lots of egg hunts and chocolate finds! We are enjoying a very quiet weekend as a family - and that's alright as I've been down and out with a nasty head/chest cold for the past week. So, some quiet time is very much welcomed!

For this week's challenge at Totally Stampalicious, the girls and I want to "Celebrate our Friends!" Yep, we want you to make a card, scrapbook layout or 3D project made specifically for a friend. I knew immediately which set I wanted to ink up and make colorful to celebrate my friend:

I used Best Bud Brats and some of my older stash of designer papers (MME - Just Dreamy 2) for my card...I hope you enjoy it as much as I did creating it for a very special friend in my life :)

4 CCC#84 - FLOWERS!!!

Happy Thursday! How is your week going? Mine has been spent mostly in bed or on the couch - nursing a nasty chest/head cold! ARG....and....to make matters worse, central Alberta is in the midst of yet another MAJOR winter storm with the possibility of up to 1' of snow! ACK...My son spent the day home from school yesterday due to a massive migraine - a sign of what's to come?!?

Enough gloomy talk - are you ready for a fun, PRETTY challenge from 4 Crafty Chicks?

Leanne is our "hostess-with-the-mostess" and her favorite thing in the whole wide world is FLOWERS! So, yep, you guessed it - show us some flowers on your projects! You can make them, stamp them, buy them, etc. There are a gazillion tutorials out there on how to make your own flowers and so many companies sell dies to whip up gorgeous flowers, lickety-split - which is what I did *wink*

For my card, I used my new flower die from My Favorite Things:

I used the 2 smaller flower petal dies and all 3 center dies to make these gorgeous flowers! Any way you stack these ones, or any paper combination you use, these flowers always turn out beautiful!

Stamps: Verve; Ink: Momento Tuxedo Black; Paper: Whisper White, Real Red, Basic Black, Crumb Cake, Rosy DP (MME); Accessories: Vertical Sentiment Die - MFT, Flower Die - MFT, butterfly punch - Martha Stewart, pearls, brads, glue dots, dimensionals

I am entering my card into the following challenges:

Wags 'n Whiskers - say it with flowers
 Lily Pad Cards - Flowers
Divas by Design - Anything Goes
Papertake Weekly - Anything Goes
Partytime Tuesday - Flowers
Flutter By Wednesdays - Open (with Butterfly)

Thanks for stopping in today and please take some time to check out the other wonderful projects created by our Design Team. I hope you find some time to sit with a cuppa hot chocoloate, coffee, tea or whatever your drink of choice, and craft along with us this week. Click HERE to link your project! Happy crafting!
