{Summer Fun} at Twisted Tuesday and STS #21

Welcome back to my blog :) This week at Twisted Tuesday Challenges, the challenge is "Summer Fun" and we are to showcase children playing and we are to have a sun on our project....this also marks my last week on the DT at Twisted Tuesday and I would like to just say a huge THANK YOU to Melina and all the girls on the Design Team. I've had so much fun being sent out of my comfort zone with the twists each week - and the girls are amazing to work with! Hopefully, I will see you all again in the fall! Summer is so busy for me and our crop spraying business, I just feel I need to scale down a bit until the weather turns cooler ;)

I am also the "sketch hostess" over at Seize the Sketch so I decided to make a combination card this week:

Here's my card combining both challenges:

This cute image is a pre-colored digi from Digital Delights...they have so many awesome digi stamps to choose from - go check 'em out some time! I added my sun and cloud die cuts and stamped Good Times from the Celebrate Cake set at Reverse Confetti....thought it was the perfect day to take the picture outside and show off all my gorgeous sunshine-yellow dandelions in the background LOL.....

Please take time to come get crafty with us at Seize the Sketch and Twisted Tuesday - we look forward to seeing you!!

3-in-1 Easter Wishes

I had a very miraculous thing happen to me when I created this card...yep, you heard right - "miraculous!" I could combine 3 Design Team commitments into this one card: {PIN}spirational Challenges, Twisted Tuesday challenges and Seize the Sketch! I was so tickled - I have been short of crafty time the past couple weeks, so when I realized I could "make them all work together" I did a jig!

The photo inspiration this week from {PIN}spirational is this cutie holding her bunny:

The sponsors for this week's challenge at {PIN}spirational Challenges are:

Elizabeth Bell (whom I had the privilege of using for my image)

The layout I made my card with is from Seize the Sketch:

I took the liberty of making my card a square 5.5 x 5.5 card to accommodate my image and butterflies....

The challenge at Twisted Tuesday Challenges for the next 2 weeks is "I Need Your Paperwork" so you have to use more than 3 patterned papers (I used 3 - third one is on the butterflies!)

THE TWIST: You can't do your paperwork without a pen. Show us writing or doodling on your creation (I doodled the butterfly trails).

Thanks so much for sticking with this post til the end ;) I know it's a long one! Please check out each challenge blog and join in the fun this week! All the DT's have made such GORGEOUS creations for you to check out! Happy crafting! xoxoxo

There's Nothing I Wouldn't Share With You....

Happy Twisted Tuesday! We have an inspirational photo for you this week:

The TWIST, you ask?!? You must make a funny card to go along with the Jester photo above. For my card, I went with the colors from the jester photo and inked up my funny stamp from Stamping Bella called "SENIOR-ita" Sylvia that I won last month in a blog hop! She cracks me up!!

The girls have created such amazing projects this week for our "funny" challenge this week - be sure to head on over and check it out! Then, link up your creation for us to come leave you some love! Take care!

Twisted Tuesday {Don't Go Near the Edge!}

Happy Twisted Tuesday!!

Our challenge this week looks like this:

Don't Go Near the Edge!

* Other than your base paper/card stock, don't let anything else on your project get very close to the outside edges. So that means no ribbon going all the way to the edge or border strips, photos or images, etc. Keep everything clustered in the middle

THE TWIST: Use dictionary, old book or script paper on your creation

I used the new MFT stamp set called Grand Peaceful Wildflowers and my new "bow tie" die. I don't really have a lot of "dictionary" or "old book paper" but I think this worked out well. I added some enamel dots to finish off the card.....

I hope you can find some time to get crafty with us at TT this week. For more inspiration, please check out the blog to see what our wonderful design team has for you!

Thanks for stopping in this morning and please stay tuned for a new Seize the Sketch project!! ;)

Twisted Tuesday is Going GREEN and CAS!

Welcome to another challenge from Twisted Tuesday Challenges!!

This week's challenge goes something like this:

{Live a Clean, Green Life}

Keep your project clean (no distressing, no inked edges, etc)

THE TWIST: Use the color green

I dug out my brand new Papertrey Ink Cover die (Circles) and got to work right away:

The "Celebrate" is from Think Big Favorites #13 stamp set from Papertrey Ink as well....I stamped it on vellum with Versafine Black Onyx and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder and layered it on some Garden Green. I added black pearls over top of the glue dots ;)

Be sure to stop by the BLOG and see what the other super-talented ladies on the Design Team have for you this week - their creations are gonna blow you away! I would love to come by and see what YOU create for this challenge, so don't forget to link up your project for us! Cheers!

{Anything BUT a Card} at Twisted Tuesday!

Welcome to another challenge from Twisted Tuesday Challenges!!

This week's challenge goes something like this:

{Anything BUT a Card & Add Chipboard}

Okay, so this could be a bit of a challenge for some...no cards for this challenge. Show us something other than a card.

THE TWIST: Use a piece of chipboard somewhere on your creation

I decided to make a Valentine's Day tag and my chipboard elements are all FOUR shapes that you see on the tag....2 hearts, 2 stars! I came across the glittered stars at Micheal's and I had some Valentine's stash in my scrapbooking drawers! Seriously took 5 mins to create!

Be sure to stop by the BLOG and see what the other super-talented ladies on the Design Team have for you this week - their creations are gonna blow you away! I would love to come by and see what YOU create for this challenge, so don't forget to link up your project for us! Cheers!

Twisted Tuesday {Look...Up In the Sky!}

Happy Tuesday! Welcome back to another challenge from Twisted Tuesday!

This week our challenge looks like this:

We want to see a sky represented on your creation and THE TWIST: We also want to see something that flies in the sky on your creation.

I used a stamp set/dies from My Favorite Things called Up, Up and Away! and some designer paper for my sky. I have wanted to ink up these hot air balloons for quite some time, but never seemed to have the right "theme" going on...now I will use them more often - as the sentiments that come with the set are amazing for that voice of encouragement for anyone special in your life!

Please be sure to hop on over to the Twisted Tuesday Challenge blog HERE and link up your "skies" creation for us! Cheers!

{Give Me A T-A-P-E!} at Twisted Tuesday!

Happy Twisted Tuesday!!

I have to admit right off the start, that Melina seriously CHALLENGED me this week lol....Our challenge is set out as follows:

"Give Me a T~A~P~E!"

Use washi tape or fabric tape....some kind of tape on your creation.

THE TWIST: Use something that begins with "T", "A", "P" or "E" on your creation. (ex. T = teal, twine, thread / A = acetate, apple, aqua / P = pearls, paint, pink / E = embossing, echo park paper)

So, I didn't realize it at the time that we only had to use ONE of the letters in T-A-P-E and show it on our project - I used all 4! LOL ;) T = twine; A= arrows; P = pearls; E = elephants! Oh well, it was a very cool challenge and I bought my very first washi tape especially for this project and I think I may just be "stuck" on this stuff! hahaha.....

The washi tape I used is from the Teresa Collins line "You are my Happy" and I also got the matching 6 x 6 paper pad - so watch for further creations! *wink*

The sentiment is from Reverse Confetti - called "Lots to Say" - it fit the bill perfectly! I finished off my CAS card with some twine, a couple pearls and popped up the whole main image with foam squares.

Please be sure to hop on over to the Twisted Tuesday Challenge blog HERE and link up your T-A-P-E creation for us! Cheers!

{Mixed Signals} at Twisted Tuesday Challenges!

Welcome back to my blog all of you crafty PEEPS! It feels so good to be creative again - the holidays were nice and quiet, but I'm very happy to be back in my crafting space making HUGE messes!!

The challenge over at Twisted Tuesday Challenges  is as follows:

{Mixed Signals}

We want to see more than one crafty company represented on your creation (use items from more than 3 different manufacturers)

THE TWIST: Use an arrow on your creation

I used Whisper White and Early Espresso card stock from Stampin' Up!; the designer paper and word bubbles that I cut out are popped up are from Lawn Fawn - called "juniper" Into the Woods series; the 3 flags were made using MFT dienamic dies, and the sequins are from Pretty Pink Posh. I also incorporated the "arrow" with the top strip of designer paper.

We will no longer be offering sponsors at Twisted Tuesday, however, we *are* offering up Guest Designer spots for our winners!! EXCITING! Be sure to check out the details on the challenge blog ;)

This was a very fun challenge for me - made me think out of my box for a bit and use up some of my stash I have kicking around! Very cool! I can't wait to see what you come up with for this challenge - don't forget the TWIST ;)

You can link up your scrapbook layout, card, 3D project HERE! Happy crafting :)

I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday season with family and friends (and you also get to sneak in a wee bit of craft therapy) *giggle*

Our challenge for the next two weeks over at Twisted Tuesday Challenges is "New Beginnings" so the challenge is set out like this:

  • Show us something crafty that is new to you - either received or bought
  • the twist: make the theme of your creation something new or the beginning of something (new house, new baby, marriage, beginning of a race, etc.)
Our sponsor for the month of December is:

https://www.facebook.com/groups/scrapbookingwithmeboutique/

on Facebook
They are giving one lucky winner an $8 gift certificate to their store (shipping and handling excluded)!

For my card, I decided I wanted to showcase a NEW YEAR....so I dug out my new set from Paper Smooches called "Free Spirits" and I got to work :)

I added some colored gems and popped up the main "drinks" panel for an easy, CAS project! I don't know about you, but I am very much looking forward to another year - I have a lot of new goals and dreams that I would like to go after...in many different aspects of my life!

{Cutting Corners} at Twisted Tuesday Challenges!

Welcome back to my blog! This week over at Twisted Tuesday Challenges, Melina would like to see us "Cutting Corners." So...the challenge itself is to fussy-cut something on your project and the "TWIST" is to make special cuts on the corners of your creation (rounded, ticket, corner border, etc)

For my card, I fussy-cut "CandyGramSam" from byLORi Designs and popped him up with dimensional foam dots. I then rounded the top 2 corners of my card and the layers. The paper is from my fav 6 x 6 paper pad called 'tis the Season from Echo Park.

Our sponsor for the month of December is none other than Scrapbooking with M.E. Boutique

Melina Wray-Pylant's photo.

I'd like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Card Makin' Mamas - Christmas & New Year
Divas by Design - Feeling Festive
Stampin' for the Weekend - Use Some Red

{PIN}spirational and Twisted Tuesday 2-in-1

This week I am combining 2 challenges into one card - it doesn't happen very often that we can combine 2 different design team requirements into one card so I was tickled when I realized this week I could!

The inspirational photo this week at {PIN}spirational Challenges is:

...and our sponsors this week are Eureka Stamps

I chose my image from Eureka Stamps - called Scarecrow and Sunflowers:

The challenge at Twisted Tuesday Challenges is "Autumn Thankfulness"

 Grab our badge!

Use Autumn/Fall as your inspiration and also make it a creation of gratitude -  This can be your sentiment, to whom you're mailing it (if a card), who you make the scrap page about, etc.

Our sponsor this month is none other than the wonderful Bugaboo Stamps:

 www.bugaboostamps.com

And without further adieu, here is my card combining both challenges this week

Thank you so much for stopping in today - be sure to head over to both blogs this morning and check out all the wonderful goodies all the other ladies have created for you - then link up your creation for us to leave you some crafty lovin!! Cheers!
