SPCC #124 Celebrate the Season

Welcome back PEEPS! Are you ready for another AWESOME color challenge from Scrapmaster's Paradise?! I am gearing up for Christmas and I'm *trying* to make as many Christmas cards as I can from now until the end of November - and this color combo fit the bill perfect!!! I decided to ink up Samantha's lovely Ornamental Trees, Falling Snow and The Cutest Gingerbread sets to make a scene for Christmas.....

I also embossed the background with the snowflake embossing folder from Stampin' Up! and added glitter to the snow, and outlined the trees. You might have to click on the picture to see it better.

I hope you find some time this week to play along - this is a PERFECT Christmas combo, thanks Samantha!

Happy Halloween from Totally Stampalicious!!

My kids are getting to that age where they don't "trick-or-treat" anymore so I think they are just planning to stay home...We live quite a ways out in the country and we don't get many kids (if any), so I don't even have to buy a lot of candy! Lucky me ... LOL.

Saying Goodbye at Picture Perfect Creations

Happy Monday folks! Today is a little bit of a bittersweet day for me. Megan from Picture Perfect Creations has decided to take a little break from blogging challenges until the new year and although it was an extremely difficult decision for her, I know she will love the time she will get to spend with her ADORABLE little man and hubby!

Megan, I just wanted to say THANK YOU for picking me to be a part of your design team on April 10, 2010! It was SUCH an exciting day for me - to be chosen to be on a design team?!? Are you kidding me?! ME?! Thanks for all the wonderful challenges you have given us as a team and I know you will totally enjoy your little mini-vacay from PPC....we will be back bigger and better come the new year!! HUGS girl!!!!

For this, our last challenge of 2011, Megan has issued the following color combo:

For my card, I decided to go CAS...this awesome sketch was found at Clean and Simple Stamping and I knew EXACTLY what I was going to do:

I really love the simplicity of the sketch....really, I do....so WHY, WHY, WHY do I have such an issue with all the "white space?" I left it alone, but I really, really wanted to do "something" in all that white....LOL....

Thanks for popping in today! I really do hope you can take some time to participate in our last color challenge of 2011....these colors are gorgeous together and I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with! See you in the new year with PPC! Ciao!

SPCC #123 - Be Merry!

Happy Monday!!! Welcome back to another color challenge from Scrapmaster's Paradise...Samantha has given us this wonderful palette to work with this week and my wonderful daughter, Kim, had been "muckin' around" in my craft room with me the other day and asked if she could color some images and make a couple cards - I said "absolutely!"

She made a Christmas card (I will show it on my blog another time) and she also had this little man laying beside the work station! How convenient that he was colored in this color combination!?!? I asked her if she minded if I used her image that she colored and she was "TICKLED!" So, thanks, my dear daughter...Kim....for helping me in a bind :) The sentiment is from The Cutest Gingerbread set from Sp & Co., stamps!

Please be sure to check out the rest of the creations made by our wonderful Design Team...they are sure to blow you away! Get crafty with us and link it back to the SPCC Blog so we can leave you some lovin' too! Happy crafting!

This week's challenge is "Note Cards." We would like to see a set of at least 3 note cards! They are super easy and quick to make - for my notes, I decided to use the cute and newly released Poppi Cocoa:

I figure these will go very nicely with a gift set of cocoa, coffees and baking! I hope you all get a chance to sit and get crafting with us this week - for more note card ideas, please pop on over to the Totally Stampalicious Blog and check out the super dooper talent of the rest of the design team - they will knock your socks off :) Thanks for stopping in! The temps have been warm, the colors are absolutely stunning and it means that every passing "warm" day is one less "cold" winter day! LOL...

Here's the card I made for the Fall Challenge. I snatched up a gorgeous Autumn paper pad called "Autumn Splendor" by We R Memory Makers and so that was my jumping off point for my card - the colors are GORGEOUS....

I forget what it's like having wee ones under foot - thank goodness my 2 kids were here to give me a hand *wink* Jackie is here this morning to pick them up so tonight, will be an early bedtime for this super-exhausted Aunty! LMBO!

Alright, onto business.....this week the gals over at Totally Stampalicious are issuing a color challenge: ORANGE, PURPLE and GREEN. *** EDITED *** The RIGHT colors are ORANGE, PURPLE and BLACK!!! OY!!! *** Oops!

I have to tell you...I wanted this combo to scream Christmas or WINTER, but I didn't know how to incorporate it...so....off I went, digging through my stash and came across this cutie patootie! Super awesome winter image - I must say! LOL...I found the "Warm Wishes" sentiment in SP & Co. set "Cutest Gingerbread Man." Great challenge, Samantha! :) I can't wait to see all the entries using this week's color combination!

Happy Thursday! I'm so glad you stopped by today because the 4 Crafty Chicks have a super-duper fun and "colorful" challenge for you all this week! Miss Melissa is our "hostess-with-the-mostess" this week and she has made this oh-so-pretty color combo for your crafting pleasure:
For my card, I decided to ink up a new "La-La-Land Craft" stamp I bought at Tamie's LSS...isn't she adorable?! The shirt really *is* colored with a Copic that matches Rose Red, but it doesn't look like in the picture....I went with a CAS look this week - hope you like it!

Thanks for stopping in today! I hope you find time to get crafty with us CHICKS....be sure to pop on over to their blogs (and our wonderful Guest Designer, Christy) for more inspiration! Have a great weekend!

Picture Perfect meets Verve...

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I hope you are having a relaxing, stress-free, memorable and grateful time with family and friends...as you read in my last post, I am in southern Alberta visiting my Dad but will be travelling back home today to get back into the routine of things!

This week over at Picture Perfect Creations, Megan has chosen a very different color combo (in my opinion) but it was sure pretty to put together! What do you think:

For my card, I went in search of a sketch and came across this beauty from Clean and Simple Stamping:

Here's my card using a favorite Verve set and the CAS sketch:

I decided to make a sympathy card with these colors and I feel it turned out good. I hope you have some time this week to sit and craft with us this week! Please check out the rest of the Design Team's work - the links are on the right-hand sidebar. Thanks for poppin' in and see you shortly for another SPCC color combo!

SPCC #121

Happy Monday everyone! This week's color combination from Scrapmaster's Paradise is another beauty! Daffodil Delight, Soft Suede, and Always Artichoke:

Well, as you can see from my photo, I had a very big DUH moment last week when I was trying to get ahead on all my DT submissions - and while cyber crafting with my good PEEP, Leanne, she said to me "that sure doesn't look like Daffodil though - looks like Saffron." And I sat there in my head saying "Uhhhh...ya, of course it is!" LOL...I didn't notice that I used the wrong yellow *head hung in shame* So, I apologize - make sure you use Daffodil Delight! :)

Hop on over to the the rest of the SP Divas and check out their creations and be sure to link up yours for us to leave you some comments as well. See you shortly for another PPC color combo.

Happy Thanksgiving from Totally Stampalicious!

Happy Thanksgiving to all my Canadian PEEPS! As this post goes live, I am in southern Alberta visiting my Dad for the weekend - he wanted to try barbecuing a turkey on the rotisserie! I will let you know how that all went when I get back :)

Totally Stampalicious wants to see some THANKSGIVING or THANK YOU projects this week :) For my card, I chose to ink up "Dottie Desserts" as baking pies was always a family tradition that happened in our family. My Mom used to always make a huge selection: apple, pumpkin, cherry, and blueberry. I, however, am not that adventurous and usually stick to apple or cherry....sometimes pumpkin!

Thank you so much for stopping in today! I hope you are enjoying some warm, relaxing, stress-free family time and remembering what all you have to be grateful for. If you get some time this week - pop on over to the TS Challenge Blog, and link up your Thanksgiving/Thank You creation for us!

See you soon for another PPC and SPCC color challenge! Ciao!

SPCC #120 - Thinking of You

Welcome, welcome! Are you ready for a soft, pretty color challenge? Samantha from Scrapmaster's Paradise has issued just that:

I found this gorgeous stamp at a LSS when I was visiting my good friend, Tamie. It's located in Leduc and it's called Scribblers 'N Such. The pearls I had matched the Calypso Coral just perfectly! Whoot!! Gotta luv it when that happens. I have a friend who is going through a bit of a rough time, so I wanted to send this card to help brighten her days....be sure to check out what the rest of the SP Divas have created for your inspirational pleasure by clicking HERE. Thanks for stopping in again today! Happy crafting!

PPC - CC#74 - Go Green!!!

Happy Monday! Welcome to another color challenge brought to us by Megan from Picture Perfect Creations...I found this color combo a bit "challenging" and I guess that is why we have them, right? I think it was the Lucky Limeade, but after I got the card all done, I think it turned out alright!

Stamps: Bold Sentiments I (SP & Co.); Paper: Garden Green, Whisper White, Pear Pizzazz, Lucky Limeade DP; Ink: Garden Green, Pear Pizzazz; Accessories: finial press embossing folder, pearls, nestabilities, white satin ribbon, paper piercer, dimensionals, sponge dauber

Be sure to check out the other inspiration from the PPC Design Team - blogs are listed on my right-hand sidebar for your clicking convenience *wink* and please be sure to ink up some wonderful creations and link them back to the PPC Challenge blog so we can share some love with YOU :)

Embossing Challenge at Totally Stampalicious!

Hello everyone! Are you ready for a fun and exciting challenge? Totally Stampalicious is wanting you to do some EMBOSSING this week - yep, heat embossing or dry embossing - your choice! I love this technique - I use dry embossing a lot with my Cuttlebug/Stampin' Up! folders and I also love to heat emboss my images if I am coloring them! So this week was a double whammy....hope you enjoy Nurse Margaret:

Please take some time to check out the rest of the wonderful creations made by our UBER talented Design Team (click HERE) and then link up your creation so we can leave you some lovin's too :) Happy crafting!
