Florida/Mexico pages part 3

Well, my crafting PEEPS...the time has come for me to pack up my crafting stash and get things all ready to go in the morning. It has been such a relaxing time here at Leanne's but, reality calls and I have to return home to a flooded basement, kids and yard work :) Thanks, Leanne - for everything - the extra goodies for my album, the friendship, the yummy food, the laughs, hearing me vent, etc. It was exactly what I needed. Hugs xoxoxox

Here are 2 more pages I got done tonight....

I cannot remember the name of this resort that Quintin and I hung out at - but the beach was nice and I walked along it collecting shells while he napped.....it was pretty. The ocean was chilly mind you - I walked out up to my thighs and decided that was enough teeth chattering....LOL

as Quintin and I walked around the ship, we admired all the "fancy decorations" and the classy feel it had. This picture doesn't do the elevator area justice - but it WAS gorgeous!
Thanks for stopping in again - I'm going to go and read a magazine and wind down for bed....I have to drive in a few hours! LOL...

Florida/Mexico Album

This is the cover of the album....

since we left in the dark from Edmonton International Airport, I couldn't get a picture of our plane until we hit Houston, Dallas....

We drove around Ft. Lauderdale and these waterways are actually people's back alley's ... it was so cool to see all these massive, beautiful "toys" that people owned.

While we were walking around downtown, we came this very cool, LARGE draw bridge that they need to put up when the boats come through on the canal....

This was taken from the car when we pulled up to the port to park....that is our ship :)

This is taken from the "tail end" of the ship ....it was enormous to us!

This was the view looking back towards Miami...the top photo is downtown Miami, and the beach is Miami Beach...as you can see in the photo, it was cold and windy that day - there are NO people on the beach....

Quintin and I have never seen so many sailboats, and other boats in one place!
We thought it was a very cool picture moment....and yes, it was extremely windy and cool when we left Miami

This was our first port-of-call....Key West. We went on a train tour and got to find out a lot about the Keys...there is a ton of history there. This man was entertaining everyone as a one-man band and he was INCREDIBLE!

There will be more photos on the way....thanks for stopping in!

Florida/Mexico Album part 2

...here are a few more of my album....I still have journalling to do on these as well....enjoy!

This was our cabin on the ship

This layout is of DH and I ready for our fancy dinner out on the ship. He looks so handsome....Joe will be glad to see his friend cleans up well :)

Quint wanted me to take a pic of the statistics so that he could show Joe....

We found new funky towel critters on our bed each night - it was so fun and exciting to see what creations they made next!

This picture was taken on the ship, coming into Cozumel...it's too bad the weather was chilly and windy - we could have gone parasailing or snorkelling, but we chose to hang out on the beach and relax and in Quint's case...SLEEP! lol

That is it for now - I am still at Leanne's, crafting up a storm and I hope to get this album almost all done while I'm here so we'll talk to ya soon :)

PPC - CC#22 and Sketch Saturday

Good Monday morning!! Welcome back to another challenge from Picture Perfect Creations! This week's color combo is another "step-out-of-your-box" mixture. Thanks, Megan, you really had me thinking for some time over this one! I had no troubles with the Baja, Razzleberry and Regal Rose, but throwing that Cajun in there was a bit of an obstacle for me. So glad we have these challenges - to make us "think" and step out of our comfort zones....hee hee....

I teamed up my color combo with a sketch from Sketch Saturday....I hope you enjoy it!

....here's my 5.25" x 5.25" card using both challenges:

Stamps: On a Pedestal; Paper: Whisper White, Rich Razzleberry, Baja Breeze, Cajun Craze, Regal Rose, Rich Razzleberry DP, Greenhouse Gala DP; Ink: Cajun Craze, Baja Breeze; Accessories: Baja marker, Regal Rose marker, paper piercer, white organza ribbon, button, linen thread, Perfect Dots and Vintage Wallpaper embossing folders, nestabilities, dimensionals, push pin, dazzling diamonds, pearls

As you can see in my bow, I used the gorgeous Pretty Pin from Lisa at Pretty Pin Embellishments! It matches the Cajun Craze just "perfectly!" Thanks, Lisa! I didn't receive mine in time to use on our Summer Blog Hop, so I said I would use it as soon as I possibly could...they are PRETTY!!! :)

Be sure to check out the rest of the gorgeous creations the rest of the Design Team created for your inspiration! Their links on the right-hand side bar of my blog. Then, hop on back to the PPC Challenge Blog and be sure to link up YOUR creation for your chance to win! Happy stamping!

Baby Boy

Good afternoon PEEPS! I am thoroughly enjoying my last day before my 2 kiddos come home from camp/VBS....the sun is shining, there is a gentle breeze blowing and the tunes are up high :) The coffee is tasting mighty fine and the craft room is a hustle-bustle this morning! The store needs some baby boy cards so I had a card saved in My Pictures folder on my computer that I have been wanting to "re-create" for quite some time now. I have no idea who's card this was originally, so if it is your creation, please let me know so I can give you credit where it is due! I hope you enjoy them.....

Stamps: Pun Fun; Paper: Old Olive, Baja Breeze, Whisper White; Ink: Versafine Black; Accessories: 1 1/4" circle punch, Old Olive Ribbon, markers

DETAILS: same as above, only using Chocolate Chip and Marina Mist colors....

I hope you all are enjoying this glorious, sunshiney Thursday! Take some time for YOU - it's very important - trust me!!!! After this week, I've needed today....happy craftin!

Stampin' Celebration - TOP 3!

Good morning everyone! I just would like to take this opportunity to thank the ladies over at Stampin' Celebration for picking THIS card to be in their top 3! It is such a warm, accomplishing feeling to receive such awards and honors!

Thanks again Stampin' Celebration!!!

Baby Girl Card

Hello PEEPS! OY CARUMBA is it ever raining here in central Alberta! We have a rainfall and wind warning in affect right now - by this time tomorrow night, we're expecting up to 100 mm of rain and the winds are expected to hit 110 kms/hr! YIKES! That's crazy....my roof is already leaking :( I have some buckets up in the side attic and hopefully the wind will stop soon...it's driving the rain up underneath an unsealed part of the tin on the roof by the chimney. DH has a new "to-do" list and he doesn't know it yet LOL.... of course, he's away working right now :(

I decided to take a break from purging and housecleaning this afternoon and went to the gym with Melissa and then I decided to plunk my sore, tired body down in my craft room and make some baby cards for the store. I decided on pink ones first....I made 2 of these:

Stamps: Whimsical Words; Paper: Whisper White, Chocolate Chip, Pink Pirouette; Ink: Chocolate Chip: Accessories: Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder, choc ribbon, button, linen thread, eyelet border trim punch, Perfect Dots embossing folder, nestabilities, paper piercer, sponge dauber, dimensionals

This card qualifies for the "embossing" challenge over at Practical Scrappers.

I am off to *try* to sleep in this wind - 110 km/hr they are saying and let me tell ya, my house feels it. It's an old house and it sure cools off fast with cold winds like today (temp is only +5C right now)....crazy!!!! Thanks for stopping in and sweet dreams!

SPCC-CC#56 Friends 24-7

It's time again for another wonderful color combo challenge over at Scrapmaster's Paradise! Samantha has incorporated the new luscious, dark, yummy Early Espresso in our challenge this week. I *think* it's one of my new fav's! Cherry Cobbler is right up there too....I'm totally LOVING this new Color Renovation Stampin' Up! has done.

I was in need of a sketch to go along with these wonderful colors, and I found a great square card sketch over at Sketch Saturday last week...it worked PERFECTLY with the stamp set I wanted to use for my card this week....

...and here is my card using both challenges:

Stamps: Friends 24-7; Paper: Whisper White, Early Espresso, Bashful Blue, Tangerine Tango; Ink: Early Espresso (sponging), Tangerine Tango; Accessories: markers (Tangerine, Chocolate, Crumb Cake, Old Olive, Espresso, Bashful Blue), sponge dauber, Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder, Early Espresso ribbon, pearls, dimensionals, circle punches

Please check out the other SP Diva's blogs (links are posted on the right-hand side bar) for more gorgeous inspirations and be sure to link up your creation using InLinkz at the challenge blog for your chance to win! Happy stamping!

PPC-CC#21 Wings of Friendship

Happy Monday! How was your weekend? Mine was great...did some more outside work in the yard and in the garden and then sent both kids off for the week! Calvin is off to camp and Kimberly is off to a friends house and helping out at VBS teaching the little 4-year-olds :) Whatever SHALL I do without kids?!?! I am *sure* I can find something to do....hee hee

Now, onto this week's color challenge at Picture Perfect Creations.....I thoroughly enjoyed this combo! I love, love, love the new colors - especially Cherry Cobbler and Early Espresso! They are so dark and rich! Megan paired them up very nicely with Pretty in Pink and Crumb Cake this week:

I used the neat sketch from Our Creative Corner:

...here is my card using both challenges:

Stamps: Wings of Friendship; Paper: Whisper White, Early Espresso, Crumb Cake, Cherry Cobbler; Ink: Early Espresso, Cherry Cobbler, Pretty in Pink; Accessories: paper and crochet flowers, brads, glue dots

I really don't know WHY I didn't get this stamp set sooner....I really, really like it! I stamped the main bird image first with Early Espresso, then re-stamped it with Cherry Cobbler and Pretty in Pink so that I could cut out the birdie and 2 flowers to pop them up. I really like how this card turned out - the colors are FABBY!! Thanks, Megan for such a wonderful color combo! Be sure to link up your creation at the PPC Challenge Blog with InLinkz for your chance to win!! For more wonderful inspiration this week, please click on the other Design Team Creators links on my right-hand sidebar! Happy stamping!!

Saturday Night 4-in-1

Yep, I am back! This feels sooooo good! I am loving spending some time in my craft room today! I found this wonderful inspiration challenge over at Stampin' Celebration and found a great sketch over at CardPatterns...

I love yellow/black/white together - and then to make it a wedding theme challenge was perfect! I decided to ink up the wonderful flower in the Verve set, Love's Flower.....

...and here is the inside of the card using more of the stamp set and the sentiment is from Little Paper Shop....

Stamps: Love's Flower (Verve), Beauty of Nature (Little Paper Shop); Paper: Daffodil Delight, Whisper White, Basic Black, SU Designer Paper (retired); Ink: Versafine Black, Daffodil Delight; Accessories: nestabilities, markers, perfect dots embossing folder, big shot, Basic Black 1/8" taffeta ribbon (new!), paper piercer, pearls, dimensionals, 1 1/4" square punch, martha stewart double border punch
This card also qualifies for the "Flower Power" challenge over at Your Next Stamp Challenge and the "Nestabilities" challenge over at Little Red Wagon.
Thanks for stopping in today - I am off to spend the evening with DH...we're kid-free and that doesn't happen very often, so we had better take advantage of that! Happy crafting and have a super dooper night!

2 Thank You, 2 Wedding CASE'd

Happy Saturday folks! Both of my kiddos are gone for the day/night (Kim's gone for a week and Calvin will be home tomorrow around noon and then gone to Bible Camp for a week) so I figured since today is a rainy day, it's a great day to STAMP! When I dropped Kim off at her friends, I stopped at the little country store that I sell my cards at and I noticed they are getting low on wedding/anniversary, male/female birthday, baby cards and shower cards....so I have set out to power stamp and get a few built! :)

The first card I CASE'd from Nancy Amato from Stampin' All Night. Be sure to check out her beautiful card - this is what I came up with using her template and I tweaked it a bit by putting a bow on there and I don't have that wonderful sentiment that Nancy used, so I dug through my Verve sets and found this one:

Stamps: Vintage Vogue, Love's Flower (Verve); Paper: Blushing Bride, Concord Grape, Whisper White; Ink: Blushing Bride, Concord Grape; Accessories: Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder, white organza ribbon, pearls, dimensionals

This next simple, yet rich and elegant card was CASE'd from Lynn Starzl on the Stamping Connection. Isn't it stunning? It looks even better in person. The richness of the Early Espresso and Vanilla is delicious! I need to order more EE as I only have one more sheet of it, or else I would have made some wedding/anniversary cards using it. It's on my ORDER SOON list!!! :)

Stamps: Perfect Punches; Paper: Very Vanilla, Early Espresso; Ink: Early Espresso; Accessories: vanilla satin ribbon, scallop oval punch, Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder, dimensionals

Both of these cards today also qualify for the challenge of Dry Embossing over at KL Stampin N Scrappin Blog. Thanks for stopping in and I am so looking forward to a week to myself that I can spend in my craft room! Stay tuned!

Lord Have Mercy, SPCC#55 and Chocolate at Totally Stampalicious....

Happy Thursday evening! Today has been such an "awesome and productive" day. Tamie brought the kids out and she made sure to bring all her crafting supplies that she needs to get ahead on some of our design team work since they are leaving this weekend for holidays. That inspired me also to get my butt in gear and do up some cards ahead of the game :) We did very well today - we EVEN got her laundry done for her! Now she won't have to panic as much getting all the packing done for camping - we rock girl, thanks for comin' out to play!

After Tamie left, I decided to finish up this card I made for the challenge this week over at Scrapmaster's. I am officially a SP Diva, but I didn't get my card done in time to hand in to Samantha after being accepted to the group. So...I decided to play along anyways as I really, really enjoyed this color combination that Sam picked this week...I also used the sketch from Lord Have Mercy and the challenge over at Totally Stampalicious this week was to incorporate "FOOD" in our card somewhere, even if it's in the sentiment.

...and here is my card incorporating all 3 challenges:

Stamps: Love's Flower (Verve); Paper: Whisper White, Cajun Craze, Old Olive, Daffodil Delight, Old Olive DP; Ink: Cajun Craze; Accessories: nestabilities, cuttlebug folders, paper flowers, olive brad, dimensionals, paper piercer

Isn't that sentiment the "best?" I just love it...a little chocolate now and then *IS* therapeutic, don'tchya think?!? Giggle....be sure to link your creation using these colors to the Scrapmaster's Challenge Blog using InLinkz. Entries are due on Sunday, July 11th at 3PM EST. Next Monday, we will showcase the winner and the SP Top Five.

Thanks for stopping in - have a super night and happy crafting!
