Non-Traditional Christmas @ Top Tip Tuesday!

This week at Top Tip Tuesday, our challenge is "Non-Traditional Christmas." We want to see non-traditional colors for Christmas and you can also use non-traditional images if you would like too!

Our sponsor for this challenge is the wonderful Zlatoena's Design:

One lucky winner will win 2 Digi images of winners choice.

I was lucky to be able to color up this wonderful snowman from Zlatoena's Designs and had such fun using pink/purple/black as my combo:

The awesome corner poinsettia die is from Memory Box:

My *tip* for this week is this: "when using small, tiny pieces of paper from die cuts such as this, use tweezers for picking up, handling and placement. It sure makes life a lot easier. I also use a nifty little tool called the QuickStik - works AWESOME!"

Be sure to hop on over to the TTT blog and see what the rest of the crew has for you - their creations are incredible!! You have 2 weeks to play along with us - come get crafty! Cheers!

Anything Goes at The Pink Elephant

Welcome back to my blog. This week at The Pink Elephant is one of my favorite weeks...the last Monday of every month is always an Anything Goes theme...so the door is wide open!! :)

I decided to make a "boy" birthday card since I do not have many masculine cards in my stash. And...this cutie was a lot of fun to color up :)

This is Landon with a Banner from byLORi Designs...Lori's images make it soooo easy to create fun, cheery cards! Just look at those cheeks LOL...

Come on over to The Pink Elephant challenge blog and see what Ella's girls created just for YOU. Then, get crafty with us and link up your project so we can come leave you some love on your blog! Cheers!

Just For the Guys at Sweet Stampin'

Happy Saturday! I hope this post goes live OK cuz as you are reading this, I am away from home in Banff, Alberta running the 10K in Melissa's Road Race! I have been wanting to do this run for the past 4 years but have been afraid of doing it since it's in the mountains. Well, this weekend is IT! Will update later when Diane and I get back....

This week at Sweet Stampin,' we want to see cards JUST FOR THE GUYS! Masculine cards are ones I do not have enough of in my stash and when I purchased this kit from CTMH I knew I wanted to make up some of these for Calvin's football coaches, teachers etc. The colors are perfect for guys and football is played in the fall, so I figured it was a great set!!

Our sponsor this week is: Yours or Mine Papercrafts - offering up a $10 Voucher

Please stop in at the Sweet Stampin' Challenge Blog to see what the rest of the sweeties have created for you this week....link up your project for us as well - be sure to have some STAMPING on your card/project!! Happy crafting!

I then went ahead and made a set of these cute goodies and decorated a tin to make a gift for someone special - take a peek:

 I used my Chalk Talk set and dies from Stampin' Up! to make my "for you" panel - added some large black/white striped ribbon to the belly band and DONE! Such a *CUTE* gift box full of smelly goodness! :)

This week at Merry Monday, miss Kathy is issuing a BINGO challenge - check it out:

Done! Easy peesy! This die is going to be used A LOT!! I can tell that already....it's so pretty!

TPE #268 {Embossing!}

 Welcome back to my blog...if you are looking for my Merry Monday post, please scroll down!

This week, the challenge over at The Pink Elephant is "EMBOSSING" so that means dry, heat, embossing paste etc.

For my card, it's another card from a kit from CTMH that my sister, Jackie, and I picked up at the Canadian Scrapbooker Craft show Saturday in Sherwood Park (if you haven't been, you need to go!)

This kit is all about fall and gratitude....so pretty!!

Jackie knew I had an embossing challenge due today, so she dug out her powders and came across this dark brown one for the sentiment - turned out awesome!

Thanks again for poppin' in - be sure to hop on over to see Ella's girls and all their creations - HERE! Get crafty with us and link up your project so we can come visit YOU! Have a wonderful day! xoxoxo

Merry Monday #126 {The Words Have it!}

Happy Merry Monday! Sorry for the late blog post - I got home from my sisters a bit later than I had anticipated last night and had to get everything ready for school this morning etc.  Jackie and I attended the Quilting/Canadian Scrapbookers Craft/Trade Show this weekend in Sherwood Park and let me tell ya - WOW!! There were so many gorgeous quilts, projects and all the people doing scrapbooking/make 'n takes/teaching was amazing!

We didn't allot ourselves enough time this year (we didn't really know what to expect) and so we are going to plan a better go-round of it next year! Maybe this time we could gather up a group of us girls to go together (Leanne, Tamie, Bonnie??)

While we were browsing the booths, we came across a CTMH booth and she had some gorgeous kits on sale - this is one card that is part of their Christmas line...so pretty! Jackie and I created yesterday morning before I left and it was nice to get crafty with her - she doesn't get much time these days ;)

I absolutely LOVE the colors in this kit! Soooo pretty :) Our challenge this week is to make your sentiment your main focal point! I think this card does just that!

I hope you hop on over to the Merry Monday Challenge blog to see what the rest of the Merry Makers have for ya....and all I can say is that it is sure giddy pleasure that I work with such amazingly talented PEEPS! You will NOT be disappointed! Stay tuned for my post for TPE!! Hugs!
