Happy Monday folks! This week at The Pink Elephant, we are CAS'ing and THANKING Sheri Gilson from Paper Crafty's Creations! Sheri has been with The Pink Elephant since it's inception in 2009 and I have been an admirer of hers for YEARS....her talent in paper coordination and super GORGEOUS cards just awes me....

Here is the card I decided to CAS - (by the way, there are sooooo many of Sheri's cards that I *could* have picked but I just loved the pink/white on this one and I decided to CAS it almost to the letter lol):

Isn't that card just so pretty??

Sheri, on a more serious note - thanks again for everything you did for us at The Pink Elephant - and all your GORGEOUS creations each week. You really do totally ROCK! Good luck in all your future DT assignments and I can't wait to keep "creepin'" ya LOL...HUGS girl!

Anything Goes at The Pink Elephant!

Happy Monday!! We've got a heat wave happening here in central Alberta, CANADA for the past week or so with temps in the 30C+ range so I've been spending a lot of time in my cool basement crocheting and napping. The competitive swim club our daughter belongs to runs a food booth at our local Ponoka Stampede and it's a week long rodeo (we are on Day 5). We manage the only food booth on the infield (the rest are out on the midway) and it's been a very hot, busy week!! So...the basement is my haven at the moment LOL...

This week over at The Pink Elephant, it's the last Monday of the month so that means Anything Goes! YIPEEE!! We all love those ones - we can be free with whatever we want to make! Whoop! Whoop! I decided to dig out my brand new Your Next Stamp "coffee" die from their latest release and a Bugaboo image and got to work :)

I hope you get some time to sit in a nice cool craft room with your favorite bevvie and come play along with us - anything goes is a great challenge - easy peesy!! Show us what ya got! Cheers!

tpe #304 {sketch challenge}

Welcome back to my blog everyone! This week at The Pink Elephant, miss Ella is throwing us a SKETCH challenge...check it out:

I am gearing up for our annual Ponoka Stampede in town (our daughter's swim club runs the infield food booth all week) and so I got busy and put together some quick and easy layouts last week. This image is a pre-colored Kenny K image that I found at our local scrapbook store! Very cool - makes it so much easier to "whip up" a card in no time...the sketch made it even easier!

I made my card a 5.25 x 5.25" card to allow for the image size. I hope you find some time to come play along with us - come see what the rest of Ella's girls have created using this week's sketch. Click HERE. Happy crafting!

Celebrating DAD at The Pink Elephant!

Welcome back...if you are looking for my Merry Monday post, please scroll down ;)

This week, we are celebrating DAD over at The Pink Elephant. The challenge this week is Father's Day....a couple weekends ago, I kidnapped my wonderful friend Tamie and we went up to spend some time with our other wonderful friend, Leanne. We had a coloring frenzy and I got so many images colored up and ready for cards...it was awesome! This one of Gus from Bugaboo was one of those images:

I thought this would make a great Father's Day card for those who like to sit, relax, drink their tea/coffee in the morning and read their newspaper - ahhhh! Sounds like an awesome start to a Father's Day to me...

Come on over to the challenge blog HERE and see what the rest of Ella's girls have for you to see...you will not be disappointed and I really hope you get a chance to play with us - we'd love to have you! Happy inking!

Celebrate Your Day!

Welcome back everyone!

This week is "Inspiration Week" over at The Pink Elephant. Miss Ella gave us the following gorgeous pic to work with - check it out:

I decided to go with the colors in the photo as my inspiration. What a gorgeous color combination! I got out my Fun With Squares Die from Your Next Stamp and got to work....

This is the first time I've used this die set and let me just say that I will DEFINITELY be playing with it a lot more in the future! HOW FUN! You can mix and match squares, their inserts and there are even solid squares so you can do your own stamping on them if you wanted to :)

I embossed the sentiment from Quirky Animals Four with black embossing powder to make it really stand out - and added a few pearls and wa-laaaa! Done!

Please come on over to The Pink Elephant challenge blog HERE to see what the rest of Ella's girls have created for you. We would sure love it if you could come play along with us this week! Happy crafting!

The theme this week is MASCULINE BIRTHDAY....We have a friend who LOVES his tea, has a blue bath robe and yes, even owned slippers like "Weekend Walter" here from Dr. Digi's House of Stamps! It was the PERFECT image and I can't wait to give it to him on his birthday! lol....

For the inside, I used a die and cut Happy Birthday from black card stock :) So fun!

Be sure to come on over to the challenge blog HERE and play along with Ella and the girls this week! We'd love to see your manly creations! Happy crafting!

Anything Goes at The Pink Elephant!

Hello again...welcome back to my blog!

It's the last Monday of May....so you know what that means, right? The last Monday of every month is ANYTHING GOES at The Pink Elephant! Woot! Woot!

I put an order in at Your Next Stamp a few weeks ago and I just have to say - their stamps are just so much fun!! I loved coloring up this little guy....and the sentiments are pretty cute too - here's the inside of my card:

I used their wonderful sketch from a couple weeks ago - I took the liberty of rotating the sketch to make it work with my image.  I was too late to enter it into their challenge but that's ok - I loved the sketch:

Celebrate Today at The Pink Elephant!

Welcome back to my blog :)

This week at The Pink Elephant, Ella is in search of some GRADUATION cards/projects! For some odd reason, I really find Grad cards difficult. I just never know what to put on them for decorating etc. This Bugaboo image made this CAS card come together pretty quick however!

I have a Graduation ceremony to attend in a couple weeks, myself - our son is graduating June 5th and 6th! I *seriously* cannot believe time has flown by as fast as it has! I will be sure to post pics of his special day!

I am entering my card into the Curtain Call's challenge: "Totally Tassel"

Be sure to hop on over to The Pink Elephant challenge blog HERE to link up your GRADUATION card/project for us this week - we'd love to have you! Happy crafting!

Craft Room Tour with The Pink Elephant!

Hello everyone! Welcome to the third week of sharing crafty spaces at The Pink Elephant! So far Sheri and Natasha have shown you their creative spaces and let me just say that I am totally loving seeing Ella's girls craft rooms! I love getting new ideas and getting inspired :)

I have had the last two months off from crafting as I was working at our local accounting firm preparing income taxes and let me tell ya - I had to do a MAJOR overhaul of my room before I even *dreamed* of taking any pics! But, that is a good thing - it got my room cleaned and organized!! Yay!

I am also a lucky girl to be able to have one whole room for crafting in - but it's also my business office too. One side is designated crafty area and one side is our business office. Works pretty good! So first off, I have all my Stampin' Up! inks/markers/re-inkers stored in a wonderful wall unit that my Dad builds....he's a genius! He also built my copic marker holder which you will see momentarily! He has a link on my blog if you are at all interested ;) And I also store buttons in jars on top of it. Under my printer area is where I store all of my 8 1/2" x 11" cardstock - both drawers are labelled with Stampin' Up! color file folders.

Then there is my computer/copics/washi tape area - the "colorful area" lol...

I also have a white 5-drawer unit I purchased from IKEA under my desk that holds adhesives, acrylic blocks/distress inks, heat gun, baby wipes, embossing powders, glue gun, and bottom drawer is my camera and other electronics.

Then, to the right of my desk is my stamp storage cupboards (all Stampin' Up! stamps and boxes of cards are stored in the upper IKEA cabinets) along with some other miscellaneous things (copic refills/etc.) In the lower IKEA shelf there are my wonderfully organized clear stamps (Jennifer McGuire style), my ribbon, embossing folders/dies (Jennifer McGuire style), other embossing/dies from Stampin' Up and in the baskets below, I store my felt, flowers, card kits and extra paper cutters.

My closet is sort of a "catch-all" for various things. I store extra yarn in there, the wonderful white cabinet is actually a storage unit for 12 x 12 papers made by my wonderful friend, Brian Elliott (Leanne's hubby!) On the shelves I store my idea books, other crafts I want to do and the top shelf is all my scrapbooking paraphernalia.

The tall 9-drawer unit is also from IKEA and that's where I store all my punches. I absolutely LOVE
this drawer unit!! The top 2 drawers I have sequins and other embellies!
Well...there ya have it folks! This is where I get crafty. I am still in the process of decorating and I would love to put some cabinets up (or shelves) directly above my computer monitor. So...still a work in progress!! Thanks for stopping in!! xoxoxo

For my card, I colored up this adorable coffee AVA from Bugaboo Stamps! Isn't she just darling?! I love this image so much....I totally love that the coffee mug is bigger than her :) My kinda cup....lol

I hope that you are able to come and play along this week - we'd love to have you! On that note, this will be my last week of creating with The Pink Elephant until mid-May or so .... I am working doing income tax returns and the season is cranking up into high gear (CRAZY MODE) and I am just so limited on free time right now until the end April. I will be back though, don't you worry!!! :) Hop on over to TPE blog and leave some lovin' for the rest of Ella's girls....CHEERS!!

TPE #289 {Shaped Cards}

Welcome back to my blog....this week over at The Pink Elephant, Ella is looking for some "shaped cards." I decided to get out some dies that I haven't used in a long time and get creative :) This cutie from Bugaboo Stamps reminds me of my niece, Reagan, and it just so happens that she plays soccer too! Can't wait to send this to her and ask her if she's getting excited for soccer season.....lol

The temperatures here in central Alberta are turning gorgeous - into the double digits for the rest of the week! Wow...our snow will be gone before you know it - water will be running everywhere and alas, the MUD comes...UGH. Oh well - the warm temps mean windows open, fresh air, walks/runs can commence without ICE lol....looking forward to it...I really wish my office at work had a window, but that's ok - I can go out and walk around town on my lunch break!! Exciting! :)

If you get some time please hop on over to the DT blog and see what the rest of Ella's girls have created for you this week - this is one talented design team and you will NOT want to miss what they've created for you! CHEERS!!
