Err Mah Gerd...HELLO!!

Happy Monday y'all! Today I am up on the Coffee Loving Cardmakers blog, sharing a super fun card made with goodies from Paper Smooches. I am so sad that they will be closing their doors but I totally understand why Kim decided to shut it down and I wish her all the very best in her future endeavors...and, I put in a big order with her so I have even MORE fun stuff to create with HEE HEE....

This card was made with the oh-so-fun set called "Caffeinated." It's a very clean and simple card, but is super darn cute, I feel...and says so much! LOL. Here's a close up:

The inside says "HELLO!" :) Simple, but oh so cute! Can't wait to send this one out to a good friend! Thanks for stopping in today to see what I have been up to! Cheers!

For my first card, I used the oh-so-fun set called "Caffeinated" and I will definitely be using this set, along with the matching dies, a lot in the future! SO FUN!

I used the iced coffee/tea die and cut it out of the black front layer then secured it over top of the white card base in my Misti and stamped the image inside the die cut hole so it would match up. I then stamped the image again on the polka dot yellow paper and fussy cut it out. I used Copics to color in the straw to match the designer paper.

I then stamped the "cute tea" sentiment from the "Caffeinated Two" set onto the same yellow polka dot paper and mounted it on the black front panel and used dimensionals to pop up the entire black panel for some added dimension.

Be sure to comment along the way for your chance to win a $25.00 gift certificate to the PS store...you can get yourself some of these fun goodies to play with :)

For my second card, I used the other coffee cup from the Caffeinated set and the "err mah gerd" sentiment is again from the Caffeinated Two stamp set...makes me giggle every time I hear this saying hahaha ... when coffee tastes good, I say it - A LOT! ;)

I did a bit of paper piecing for the sleeve of the cup to tie it into the bottom layer designer paper...so fun!

 Well, that's it for me...be sure to hop on over to Annette's blog HERE for your next stop on the hop. Thanks again for stopping in - have a fun day hopping! CHEERS!

Merry Monday #248 {Color Challenge!}

This week, our challenge is being brought to you by Marcia:

This challenge was great! It totally made me step out of my comfort zone as I was having a real struggle adding the green in there LOL.... thanks, Marcia!

I just received this sunburst die from Stampin' Up! and I have been itching to use it - and figured this was as good a time as any ;) I added the snowflake from Paper Smooches and popped up that layer to give it some dimension then die cut the Happy Holidays from Eggplant with my Neat and Tangles die.

It's hard to see in the photo (sorry) but the white base is layered on green, then on the purple :)

Thanks for stopping in and be sure to hop on over to the Merry Monday Christmas Card blog HERE and link up with us - always good to have some cards done early for the hectic busy season! Cheers!

4 CC #259 {Nautical}

For our challenge this week, Tina is looking for anything NAUTICAL! I don't have a lot of nautical stamps in my stash, so I decided to do the colors of the popular theme and used a Paper Smooches sentiment:

4 CC #238 {Photo Inspiration}

Welcome back to another challenge from miss Tamie over at 4 Crafty Chicks. This is our jump-off inspiration picture - I think this kitty is so stinkin' cute....and well, Tamie is our cat-lover of the group so this is no surprise she gave us this awesome, adorable, colorful starting point:

I struggled which way to go with this one...do I just use the colors? Do I just use the kitty? Do I do both....so I tried real hard to incorporate both. Here's my take on it:

I wanted to keep it fairly CAS and I really, really wanted to dig out some felt and use that. I love how it cuts in the dies - like BUTTAH!!! So fun to work with. Thanks for the awesome challenge, Tamie! The kitty is from Paper Smooches, the sentiment is from Reverse Confetti, the felt is from MFT....

Come on over and share your card, scrapbook layout or 3D item with us. Click HERE. Happy crafting!

Merry Monday #138 {Gold, Silver, White and ??}

Happy Monday!

This past weekend was filled with a 2-day swim meet for our daughter and the Ponoka Pool Sharks! She did amazing along with all her team mates and I ended up with a few scrapes and bruises due to a fall on the deck, but I am babying my wounds and hopefully they will heal fast!

This week over at Merry Monday, Debbie is our challenge hostess and she's looking for the following:

For my 4th color, I added red (I don't consider black a color lol). I only had silver snowflake brads so my good friend, Leanne, gave me a tip! Dip the silver brads in Versamark ink and sprinkle gold embossing powder on them and heat! WOWZAS! Worked like a charm - then I had GOLD snowflake brads! Thanks for the tip, girl....

My cute snowman is from Bugaboo, called Old Snow Patches, and my sentiment is from Paper Smooches - Christmas Sampler set....

Come on over to the Merry Monday Christmas challenge BLOG and see what all the other Merry Makers have created using Debbie's inspiration! You will not be disappointed! Link up your card for us too - we'd love it if you could play along! CHEERS!

Merry Monday #137 {Birds}

Happy "Merry Monday!" It's been an extremely cold and snowy weekend here in central Alberta....the windchill was around -40C for most of the weekend accompanying the almost 1 foot of snow we received! So, needless to say, this was a hunker-down-and-bake, craft, watch football and crochet-filled weekend!

This week over at the Merry Monday Christmas Challenge Blog, it's miss Deanne's turn to play hostess and she's issuing the following challenge for y'all:

I went through my stash of digi's for this card and found my cute "Bird Brain" pair by From the Heart Stamps! Perfect for this challenge ....

My "Let's Celebrate" sentiment is from Paper Smooches and was embossed with white embossing powder! So fun! Be sure to pop on over to the Merry Monday Challenge blog to see what the rest of the Merry Makers have for you - you will NOT be disappointed! Trust me...

Be sure to link up your card so we can come and leave you some love as well! Stay tuned for my next installment from The Pink Elephant! Cheers!
