Frosty Tuesday Morning 4-in-1....

Good morning from a frosty, chilly central Alberta! The ground, trampoline, vehicles etc. is all white this morning - sure sign that Fall is soon approaching....my favorite season :) The colors are so rich and warm and pretty.

Yesterday, I challenged my good friend, Tamie, to make a card and I had started and finished this one last night, but was too tired to blog it...so I am putting it on now - sorry Tamie! I wanted to do Little Paper Shop's color combo so I went on a search for a sketch - and I found one over at CardPatterns. My card also qualifies for this week's challenge at Sweet Stampin' for "distressed birthday cards and Papertake Weekly's challenge of "Just the One" and I used only one ribbon...

Stamps: Teeny Tiny Wishes, tractor - Little Paper Shop; Paper: Tangerine Tango, Kraft (Crumb Cake), Old Olive DP, Very Vanilla; Ink: Versafine Black, Chocolate Chip; Accessories: markers, brads, star punch, sponge dauber, kraft ribbon
Thanks for stopping in this morning - I hope you find some time to sit and craft today - happy stamping! Don't forget to come back Thursday morning for our opening act of 4 Crafty Chicks!!!

Mojo Monday and OCC bring a 2-Cup Day!

On Saturday, Melissa and I went to Red Deer for the day and we *had* to stop in at Scrapbooker's Paradise to shop :) I found a cute new monkey to bring home into my craft room and I think he's fitting in quite nicely - he sure is a cutie! Changito from Stampendous is his name and he sure has some cute poses and sayings that I might just have to start *collecting* LOL...

This morning I decided to give the Mojo Monday "Square or Round" Challenge a go and I picked the square card today as it fit my image better. The color challenge over at Our Creative Corner is amazing, I must say! I totally LOVE this color combination they chose this week - might even make some Christmas cards with it! Yep, you heard me right...it *is* almost time to start thinking about that....giggle!
...here is my cutie pie monkey holding not one, but 2 cups of joe - my kinda guy! *wink*

Stamps: Two Cup Changito Set (Stampendous); Paper: So Saffron, Early Espresso, Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive, Whisper White, Old Olive DP; Ink: Versafine Black, Basic Black; Accessories: markers, paper piercer, dimensionals, nestabilities, oval punches, early espresso ribbon, embossing folder, photo corner punch, pearls

Thanks for poppin' in on this cold, rainy, dreary Monday....I hope you all have some time to sit with a hot beverage (or cold if you like - wink) and get inky today! Cheers!

Late Night 3-in-1

But...but....I *did* catch myself and said "self....you really should TRY this challenge as that is why these wonderful PEEPS make these for us - to CHALLENGE us" RIGHT???? ACK! This one was a challenge - took me a L-O-N-G time to come up with an image that I wanted to use....I {think} I did ok :)

I combined this *interesting* color combo with a sketch from Sketch Saturday since the main focal point was the same shape as my image (well...ok, ALMOST) lol.....

My card also qualifies for the following challenge:

Paper Works Ultimate Summer Challenge - Technique

The gals over at Paper Works Challenge Blog offered up an Ultimate Summer Challenge for teams of 4 friends...so Melissa, Leanne, Tamie and I decided to set up a team called 4 Crafty Chicks and enter the challenge.

Over the course of 4 days, we each had to make a project using a different challenge. My challenge was a "technique" and we had to create our own designer paper. That could be anything from shaving cream, embossing, stamping, sponging - whatever we decided. I thought it would be nice to emboss my white with a cuttlebug folder and then use the brayer and roll some ink on so that the imprinted pattern stays white. What do ya think? I really like it....We all got a free digi stamp from Chi Chi Memories to use on our projects and she is sure cute....

If you have a minute, why not come vote for us? Click HERE for instructions! Thanks!
