Coffee Loving Cardmakers - Shaker Fun!

 

Hello everyone! Welcome back to my blog - today, it is my turn to share on the Coffee Loving Cardmakers Blog and I am so excited to share this super cute floral coffee shaker card with you all!

It was a lot of fun to create the cup full of posies - and assemble this fun shaker. I used some new-to-me goodies that I purchased/won after the Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop! Full lists of supplies will be at the bottom of this post. 

There was quite a bit of white space remaining after I had the card assembled, so I decided to get out my Copic Multi Liner and do some fine doodling around the outside and around the flowers and shaker cup - so fun!

This Girl Runs on... COFFEE!

I am back with another yummy coffee card for the 2016 Fall Coffee Lovers Blog Hop! This go-round, I dug out my coffee cup die from Penny Black, my Autumn Flowers paper pad from Hampton Arts, (including a PLAID since that seems to be all the rage right now), and "Coffee" stamp set from Verve Stamps and got busy!

I decided to distress the coffee cup and papers a bit with some distress ink and I popped up the coffee cup with foam tape. The circle dies behind the cup and the "coffee" die are from Your Next Stamp...

Hello everyone! It's time for the Fall Coffee Lovers Blog Hop! I look forward to these blog hops every quarter of the year - I get to create "coffee themed" cards and I also get to do a bit of crafty goodness shopping! I love seeing all the amazing coffee-related crafty products out there....

For my card, I colored up "Coffee Talk" from High Hope Stamps in fall colors - reminds me of my best friend, Leanne, and I having an awesome visit over some strong, dark, delicious coffee! Here's a close up:

Merry Monday #139 {Winter}

 

Happy Merry Monday!

This week over at Merry Monday Christmas challenge, Karren is our hostess-with-the-mostess and she's wanting us to make a WINTER-themed card. I decided to make a "fun and whimsical" type card using the snowman as my inspiration....

My super cute image is from Bugaboo Stamps and I love everything about this cute image...the snowman, the hot chocolate (complete with marshmallows), the ornaments and pressies! Everything Christmas AND Winter all rolled into one :) Super cute!

I added my Verve "Winter Wishes" sentiment and a stitched star from 'Lil Inker Designs to finish it off! Please remember that this will be our last challenge of 2014 - we will be back next week with our Winners post but the next challenge will be live on January 5th!!

I was cyber crafting with my good friend, Leanne on Wednesday afternoon and decided to dig out some doilies and see what I could come up with using these 2 gorgeous colors. Happy Thursday! Today is the beginning of another challenge week over at 4 Crafty Chicks :)

My apologies for my blog post being so late - my sister, Jackie, is here visiting along with my cutie-patootie nieces and nephew and they slept in my office/craft room last night...therefore, I totally forgot about my post as my computer was "outta sight, outta mind." 

I am the "hostess-with-the-mostess" over at 4 Crafty Chicks this week and I am "challenging" you all to anything "EASTER!" So...that can be anything that means/resembles Easter to you...cards, scrapbook layouts, 3D altered items, eggs, bunnies, Jesus, etc. I cannot wait to see what inspiration you come up with this week :D

VLV Sketch/CAS-ual Fridays meet!

Happy Friday, PEEPS!! YIPEE! The weekend is here, the weekend is here! Tomorrow, my kids' Grandma and Aunty are taking them skiing so I will have the whole day to myself - WHATEVER SHALL I DO?!? Craft, you say?! I am thinking so!!! And...a nice long walk....and a nice long bath....and read a good book....lol...the list is endless! BLISS!

Alright, enough about tomorrow's plans...let's get down to bizness about what I did TODAY :) I needed a sketch to start my card so I ventured over to the Verve Splitcoaststampers Forum HERE and low and behold, they are having a sketch challenge this week for the final challenge of February! Hop on over and take a look-see....lots of prizes up for grabs for entering the month-long challenges!

Here's their CAS sketch:

Seeing as how it's Friday, I knew that CAS-ual Fridays new challenge was issued so I scurried over to see what the girls want from us - "Add SILVER to your project." Alrighty then...that I did - I added a super cute double-heart charm to my twine bow!

And...here is my card:

Super cute huh?! I love it! I used my new MFT Stars Die-namics and cut some stars out of the white, then added bits of cardstock behind them, and stamped my Verve sentiment before layering down. I also used my new MFT Fish Tail STAX Die-namics to make the flags. Added the bordered center piece with twine wrapped around it then tied on my silver charm with another bow...voila!! Super easy peesy!

I hope you liked today's card - it was sure fun to make...take care and pop back in tomorrow to see what shenanigans I end up getting myself into ;) Ciao!

When I first started to plan this card, I wanted to use Fall colors as it's sooooo gorgeous out there right now with all the different warm, rich colors but instead I went with a more soft palette...

I came across THIS gorgeous card and I really, really wanted to CASE it. I really love this Verve stamp set and matching die for leaves! I altered the card a smidgen but overall, kept the same idea and layout!

Happy Thursday! How is your week going? Mine's been going well...I am thoroughly enjoying some much-needed sunshine and working on my tan!! (I know, I know...and you're saying "and you made a WINTER card, Lori?!?!) This week over at 4 Crafty Chicks, Melissa is issuing a challenge to use "STRIPES" on a card, layout or 3D project ....

4 CCC #98 - "STRIPES"

I love using stripes and dots together on cards, so that is what I was setting out to do and I found myself being "lured" towards this wonderful paper pack from Bo Bunny called Snowfall...isn't it gorgeous?!? You can find my "stripes" on the very bottom layer of DSP....:)

I used the SU! snowflake die to create my snowflakes and I used Chocolate Chip ink to "distress" the layers...I hope you enjoy it!

Happy Thursday! How is your week going? Mine has been spent mostly in bed or on the couch - nursing a nasty chest/head cold! ARG....and....to make matters worse, central Alberta is in the midst of yet another MAJOR winter storm with the possibility of up to 1' of snow! ACK...My son spent the day home from school yesterday due to a massive migraine - a sign of what's to come?!?

Enough gloomy talk - are you ready for a fun, PRETTY challenge from 4 Crafty Chicks?

Leanne is our "hostess-with-the-mostess" and her favorite thing in the whole wide world is FLOWERS! So, yep, you guessed it - show us some flowers on your projects! You can make them, stamp them, buy them, etc. There are a gazillion tutorials out there on how to make your own flowers and so many companies sell dies to whip up gorgeous flowers, lickety-split - which is what I did *wink*

For my card, I used my new flower die from My Favorite Things:

I used the 2 smaller flower petal dies and all 3 center dies to make these gorgeous flowers! Any way you stack these ones, or any paper combination you use, these flowers always turn out beautiful!

PPC Specialty Challenge #11 - Fall/Halloween

This is the third Monday of the month and so that means a specialty challenge from Megan over at Picture Perfect Creations and she has issued a Fall/Halloween challenge for you. I don't know about you, but here in central Alberta, we are totally loving this gorgeous late Fall we are having! The temps have been warm, the colors are absolutely stunning and it means that every passing "warm" day is one less "cold" winter day! LOL...

Here's the card I made for the Fall Challenge. I snatched up a gorgeous Autumn paper pad called "Autumn Splendor" by We R Memory Makers and so that was my jumping off point for my card - the colors are GORGEOUS....
