SP & Co. Sunday Inspiration

Welcome back to another Sunday Inspiration with SP & Co. Stamps! I went in search of an "Easter-Spring-Pastel" type color combo and came across this pretty one from Colour Q Challenge Blog:

Then, I needed some sort of sketch - and when I saw this one from Clean & Simple Stamping and all the wonderful examples, I *knew* I had to try it out!

...and here is my card using both challenges:

Stamps: Easter Bunny Sentiments (Sp & Co.)
Paper: Whisper White, Peach Parfait, Pear Pizzazz, So Saffron, Blushing Bride
Ink: Pear Pizzazz
Accessories: border punch, BB ribbon, dimensionals

SP & Co. Sunday Inspiration - Happy Mother's Day!

Welcome back to another installment of SP & Co. Sunday Inspiration. I came across a blog (my Aunty Sharon sent me the link) last week and I am seriously "addicted." KittieKraft has some wickedly amazing cards on her blog that involve many different techniques and elements, and I decided to give some of her tutorials a try....I did the ink-on-the-embossing-folder technique and also made some flowers using her techniques as well - what do you think:

I don't normally make cards like these, but I found myself staring in "awe" on her blog at all the gorgeous creations and I really love them so I wanted to try my hand at it. I really enjoy the Spellbinders technique too where you layer different "frames" and you can make them 3D or not...I decided to keep my frame flat this time. Maybe next time, I'll pop it up and make something different! So many possibilties! I really will enjoy this type of card for sentiment cards :) This sentiment is the single Mother's Day stamp from SP & Co:

Stamps: Mother's Day Single Stamp (SP & Co.)
Ink: Momento Tuxedo Black, Baja Breeze
Paper: Whisper White, Baja Breeze
Accessories: Big Shot, Textiles Embossing Folder, Spellbinders, Swiss Dots Embossing Folder, bird punch (leaves), Martha twig punch, pearls, glue dots, glue, stylus, dimensionals

I am entering my card into the following challenges:

Lollipop Crafts - Anything Goes
Creative Card Crew - Spring (flowers)
Party Time Tuesdays - Anything Goes
Fresh Brewed - Spring
Simon Says Stamp - Anything Goes
Prairie Fairy Fridays - Spring Fling
Stampin' for the Weekend - Anything Goes
Sweet Stampin - Spring or Easter (I am doing spring)

Thank you so much for stopping in today - be sure to hop on over to the SP & Co. BLOG for more wonderful Sunday inspiration! Ciao!

Happy Sunday everyone! Central Alberta got hit once again by Old Man Winter on Thursday and so we're dealing with the after math of that snowfall - I am really looking forward to spring/summer months! We have been pretty fortunate this year as far as snowfall and cold temps, but I am still looking forward to flip flops and sun tans! :)

Today I am showing y'all some more wonderful Sunday Inspiration at SP & Co. Stamps! I decided to give another CAS card a whirl and I really think it turned out great - pretty colors from Colour Q and a wonderful sketch from Clean & Simple Stamping made it super easy and fun! Check it out:

Here's my CAS card using both challenges and a sentiment from All Zipped Up:

Stamps: All Zipped Up (SP & Co.); Paper: Whisper White, Wisteria Wonder, Pool Party (I didn't have Cool Carribean), Rich Razzleberry, Tempting Turquoise; Ink: Rich Razzleberry; Accessories: Word Window Punch, Modern Label Punch, 3-Trio flower punch, pearls, dimensionals

I am also entering my card into the following challenges:

MilkCoffee Challenge - Anything Goes
Fresh Brewed - Dots

SP & Co. Sunday Inpsiration!

Welcome back to my blog! Today I am showcasing another wonderful SP & Co. stamp set using watercolors....

For my card, I used my watercolor paper from Stampin' Up! and inked up the flower and vase from the "For Every Woman" stamp set with Staz On ink. I used my watercolor pen and some reinkers to "color" my image in...

Stamps: For Every Woman & Happy Mother's Day (single) (Sp & Co.); Paper: Watercolor paper, Early Espresso, Melon Mambo, Sweet Threads DP (Basic Grey); Ink: Staz On Black, Early Espresso; Accessories: Finial Press EF, watercolor pen, (re-inkers - Regal Rose, Melon Mambo, Early Espresso, Pool Party, Old Olive), Early Espresso ribbon, scallop border punch, pearls, sponge dauber

I am entering my card into the following challenges:

Top Tip Tuesday - Mother's Day (my tip is: when watercoloring, let each layer dry a bit before you start coloring more - the paper needs to "absorb" the colors slowly)
Papertake Weekly - Mother's Day

Thanks for stopping by today - please take some time to hop on over to SP & Co. Stamps Blog and check out what other awesome stamping inspiration other Design Team members have in store for you today!

SP & Co. Sunday Inspiration

Welcome back to my blog! If you are looking for my Totally Stampalicious Monday post, please scroll down :)

We have decided over at SP & Co. to discontinue the weekly  "Stamping With Sami" Challenges and we are now offering you MORE stamping inspiration every Sunday.....

This week, we are showcasing SP & Co. stamps using a messy and fun technique:

Shaving Cream Technique

For my card this week, I wanted to make a "camo" effect using the Shaving Cream Technique and i *think* it turned out very well!! I followed the tutorial from Splitcoaststampers - click HERE to view. For my colors, I chose Crumb Cake, Melon Mambo and Pretty in Pink reinkers. The stamp set is Sewing Chic - and it worked PERFECTLY for this card :)

Stamps: Sewing Chic (Sp & Co.); Paper: Whisper White, Basic Black, Melon Mambo; Ink: Momento Tuxedo Black; Accessories: Crumb Cake, Melon Mambo and Pretty in Pink reinkers; oval punches, black organza ribbon, pearls, dimensionals

Thanks for stopping by today - please take some time to hop on over to SP & Co. Stamps Blog and see what the other creative Design Team put together using this fun technique!

Stampin' With Sami #10 - St. Patrick's Day/Lucky

Welcome back to another Stamping With Sami challenge from SP & Co. Stamps!

This week's challenge is St. Patrick's Day or Lucky

OFFICIAL STAMPING WITH SAMI CHALLENGE RULES:

Our Stamping With Sami (SWS) challenges are designed to inspire beginner and advanced stampers. We focus on SP and Company Stamps and supplies found in the SP Store because we know our products are fantastic and I am sure you would agree!

We want our challenges to be super fun for everyone, keeping the following rules in mind:

 1. Entries must clearly identify SWS Challenge in their blog post or gallery entry so that we KNOW you are playing along with the SWS Challenge. Link back to us, list us as part of your description, etc. Make it clear that you are participating in our challenge or else your entry will be deleted from the linky widget. We don't want our challenge to be the last thing you list in tiny print, we want to be the inspiration for your creation.

2. Entries to our challenges must use at least ONE SP and Co. Stamp.

3. Your creation must be newly created, specifically for our challenge.

4. We love other challenges, just like the rest of you, but there comes a time when the challenge madness gets out of hand. So to curb excessive challenge pile-ups: Entries that enter more than 2 other challenges will be removed.

 5. Of course, entries must follow the guidelines given for the actual challenge also.

I had a bit of difficulty with this challenge this week as I didn't have ANY stamps from SP & Co. that were related to the holiday....I went through a lot of different sets and I figured that the Irish always give BLESSINGS so, I added the "Blessings" sentiment from Mix 'N Match Sentiments - Occassions stamp set and I made a shamrock out of a heart punch - hope you enjoy it! :)

Stamps: Mix 'n Match Sentiments - Occasions (Sp & Co.); Paper: Whisper White, Basic Black, Dots 'n Stripes (Echo Park); Ink: Momento Tuxedo Black; Accessories: black satin ribbon, button, baker's twine, pearls, oval punch, Spellbinders, heart punch

I am entering my card into the following challenge:

Pixie Dust Studio Challenges : Buttons
Simon Says Stamp - Anything Goes
Ribbon Carousel - Anything Goes
Party Time Tuesdays - Anything Goes

Thanks for stopping by today - please take some time to hop on over to SP & Co. Stamps Blog and participate in our challenge for your chance at a prize from Sami! Good luck and happy crafting!

I decided to take the Flourishee stamp set and ink it up with my turquoise craft ink from Stampin' Up! and then sprinkle clear embossing powder over it and heat it with a heat gun...AWESOMENESS is what happens!!

Stamps: Flourishee, Bold Sentiments I (Sp & Co.); Paper: Whisper White, Crumb Cake, Tempting Turquoise, Poppy Parade, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, Lucky Limeade, Island Indigo; Ink: Tempting Turquoise craft ink, Island Indigo; Accessories: embossing powder, pearls, heat gun, dimensionals

For my "Distressing" card, I decided to use a set that hasn't been dirty and inky yet - Sewing Chic! I used my Stampin' Up! distressing tool to "rough up" my basic black paper...you might have to click on the photo to see it better:

Ink: Melon Mambo, Basic Black

For my "Love Theme" card, I really wanted to incorporate some wonderful LIPS that Sami sent me to play with...I got busy and found some wonderful papers from my Echo Park "Yours Truly" 6 x 6 Designer papers, an older sketch from My Favorite Things - Wednesday Stamp Club and some twine and got to work:

Stampin' With Sami #6 - Stamp Kissing Technique!

Welcome back my crafty PEEPS!! I hope you are enjoying your Sunday - I know I am! As you are reading this, my DH and I are enjoying a dinner theatre weekend away! Sure is nice to have some time with him as he works away A LOT, and it's good to re-connect with each other!

This week's Stamping With Sami Challenge really had me stumped for a bit - so glad she made me step out of my comfort zone! I have never done this technique before, but after I did it - it's soooo easy!

 5. Of course, entries must follow the guidelines given for the actual challenge also.

When you are doing the Stamp Kissing technique, you need a solid stamp (makes it easier to see the other stamp) so I dug out my go-to fave...Flourishee! I also used Big Bold Background for my "kissing" stamp and Just a Note for the sentiment. I stamped Flourishee in Melon Mambo and stamped the Big Bold Background stamp in black. I then took the Flourishee stamp and "kissed" it to the black one and this is what came of it (looks purple on pink hey?!):

Stamps: Flourishee, Just a Note and Big Bold Background (Sp & Co.); Paper: Whisper White, Concord Crush, DSP (SU!); Ink: Melon Mambo, Concord Crush, Basic Black; Accessories: Spellbinders, gems,

I find that doing the Rock 'n Roll Technique is a lot easier when you use a solid stamp, so I "knew" right away which stamp set to dig out and get inky - Flourishee! I also incorporated 2 other stamp sets on my card: Musical Background and Just a Note...take a look:

Stamps: Flourishee, Just a Note and Musical Background (Sp & Co.); Paper: Whisper White, Chocolate Chip, Baja Breeze; Ink: Chocolate Chip and Baja Breeze; Accessories: Spellbinders, border punch, word window punch, modern label punch, pearls, baja seam binding, dimensionals

SPCC #129 - Celebrate the Season

Welcome back! This week's color combo from SPCC helped me get yet another Christmas card completed and out of the way :) Gotta like it when that happens. Like I've mentioned in past posts, I am attempting to make all my Design Team commitment cards into Christmas cards (no matter what the challenge/color is) and so far, so good!!! Here's Samantha's color palette for the week:

For my card, I inked up Ornamental Trees from SP & Co. in Chocolate Chip ink and stamped them on Pool Party then cut them out and "popped up" the middle tree with dimensionals. I wanted to make the background look as if it was snowing behind the trees, so I used Swiss Dots embossing folder for that effect...The sentiment is from Cutest Gingerbread Man (also an SP & Co. stamp set).

I am entering my card into the following challenges:

Raise The Bar - It's Beginning to Look a lot like Christmas
2 Sisters - Punches/Dies
CropStop: Punching your way around the holidays
Stamp, Scrap & Doodle: Holiday card
Secret Crafter: Inspiration Photo (I took the tree theme!)
Bling it On: It's Christmas!
GingerloftChallenge: Christmas
Clearly iStamp: Christmas
Scrap-Creations: Christmas

Thank you for stopping in this morning and please be sure to click HERE for more wonderful projects made for you by the Scrapmaster's Paradise Design Team. Enter your project at the SPCC Challenge Blog for your chance to win some amazing stamps from the SP & Co. store! Happy crafting!

SPCC #122 - Warm Wishes

Good morning PEEPS! Welcome back to another color challenge from Scrapmaster's Paradise! I have to tell you...I wanted this combo to scream Christmas or WINTER, but I didn't know how to incorporate it...so....off I went, digging through my stash and came across this cutie patootie! Super awesome winter image - I must say! LOL...I found the "Warm Wishes" sentiment in SP & Co. set "Cutest Gingerbread Man." Great challenge, Samantha! :) I can't wait to see all the entries using this week's color combination!

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the new embossing folder from Stampin' Up! It sure adds awesome texture to your backgrounds :) I hope you have some time this week to play along - be sure to check out the rest of the Design Team's work - links are on my right-hand sidebar. Thanks for popping in this morning - I'll be back shortly with another installment from Picture Perfect Creations!! Ciao!

Welcome back!! Samantha has given us an "autumn-ish" color palette this week and I could not be more excited to create a card using these colors as they are some of my ultimate FAV's!!!! Thanks, Samantha!

I decided to use some of my Verve dies and create flowers/leaves for a bold image....then I used Bold Sentiments I from Sp & Co. for my sentiment....

I hope you enjoy this color combination as much as I did! I cannot WAIT to see what all you come up with - head on over to the SPCC Challenge Blog and see what the other girls have for you and link up your project for us to see! Happy crafting!
