KCC #528 {CHRISTMAS}

Happy "Krafty Chicks" Thursday! Nance is our hostess this week and since it's the 2nd week of the month, our challenge is "CHRISTMAS." As most of my crafty friends know, this is my favorite card to make...I am very excited to see the gallery full of holiday greetings this week!

KCC #528 {Christmas}

This card was so easy to make! The designer paper did all the work and the die cuts and little bit of sparkle are the perfect touch! I also did a set in green...Here's a close up:

Be sure to hop on over to the Krafty Chicks Challenge blog to check out what the rest of the Chicks have in store for you! There is some awesome inspiration in the hen house this week! Cheers....

4 CC #229 {Flowers}

Happy "4 Crafty Chicks" Thursday everyone!!

This week our challenge hostess is miss Tamie and she has a very popular theme for us to use this week:

4 CC #229 {Flowers}

Isn't this card the most gorgeous thing you've evah seen?!? I really wish I could take credit for this beauty, but, however, I cannot. My wonderful crafting friend and running buddy, Diane, made this card and gave it to me to showcase on our FLOWERS challenge this week! She stamped on vellum and colored the flower petals and leaves then cut them out, popped them up and BAM!! When I saw this card, I just couldn't find the muscles in my jaw to LIFT the bottom part back up - it was hitting the floor! So, so, so pretty, Diane!! Thanks for letting me show it off! xoxoxo

It was made with the stamp set called Joyful Christmas from Stampin' Up! and since I fell in love so much with this card, guess what Diane gave me for Christmas?!? Yep, this set! I was squealing with excitement - now I can make my OWN gorgeous creations with it! Again, thanks, Diane!! xoxoxo

Hop on over to the 4 Crafty Chicks challenge blog and see what the other Chicks have in store for ya....every one of us LOVES flowers (some more than others *wink*) so you can be guaranteed some knockout creations! Cheers!

Dynamic Duos #57 {Sharing in Your Sorrow}

Happy Saturday crafty PEEPS! Welcome back to my blog and another challenge over at Dynamic Duos! This week we have a gorgeous combination of Pear Pizzazz and Basic Black and you can add a neutral of your choice. There is also a dessert option this week: plant theme....

I really enjoyed making this card as I was cyber crafting with my bestie, Leanne a few weeks agoand it always is more fun when you can hook up online and giggle while getting inky! ;)

I wanted to make a sympathy card for a lady I know in our neighborhood. Her Mom passed away a couple weeks ago from cancer and she was with her, by her side, every single day throughout her battle and made her transition to heaven such a smooth, happy one. ♥♥

I used a couple older SU! sets that haven't seen the light of day for quite some time! Upsy Daisy and Thoughts & Prayers ... then made some flowers with MFT Dienamics for the embellishment.

I hope you take some time to come and sit and play with us girls this week - I cannot wait to see all the creations made with this combination.....link up your cards, 3D projects or scrapbook layouts HERE!

PPC meets Little Book of Sketches....

Good Monday morning! Wow, can you believe we are into September already? My girl started school last Thursday and my son starts tomorrow....crazy! Our summer just flew by....*sniff!* I am sure hoping we get a nice, LONG, warm fall! :)

Are you ready for another color challenge from Picture Perfect Creations? This one had me stumped for a wee bit....the rose red threw me off a bit. I was leaning towards BOY but didn't know how to incorporate that color in....I used this wonderful sketch from Little Book of Sketches - and this is what I came up with:

I love this new embossing folder from Stampin' Up! I decided to go clean and simple with his card - hope you like it!

Please take some time and get crafty with us! For more wonderful DT inspiration, click HERE.

Picture Perfect Creations Challenge #66

Good Monday morning to all of you out there in crafty blogland :) I hope you had a restful, relaxing weekend and are ready to come craft with PPC this week...Megan's color palette this week is a gorgeous one - just my opinion! I am definitely going to use this color combo more often as there are so many possibilities you could use it for. Men cards, flower cards, nature cards, you name it! Here's what I did:

I decided to ink up the butterfly from the new-to-me set called Strength and Hope. I used dimensionals to "pop" the butterfly up. The navy background was embossed with my perfect dots embossing folder. The border punch is a Martha Stewart and the final touch was the ribbon and button :)

Please take some time this week to create something using these wonderful colors. For more gorgeous inspiration from PPC's Design Team, click HERE. Happy crafting!

A Couple Christmas Cards...

I thought I would show you a couple more I made today with my new set, Come to Bethlehem, from the new Idea Book & Catty...and some super fine glitter and sugar beads (2nd card)...

I started by stamping the image on Whisper White cardstock with Versafine Vintage Sepia....Then I cut out a piece of Sookwang adhesive sheet that was a bit larger than my stamped image. I peeled one side of the adhesive off and placed the image face down onto the sticky side. Using a craft knife, I carefully trimmed around the image and then peeled off the other protective paper, revealing the other sticky side. I placed it face down in a tray of Sugar Beads (the first card was done using transparent glitter) and moved it around to ensure that the image was fully covered. I matted the image on some Chocolate Chip cardstock and adhered it to my card base... and WALAAA! Instant beautiful!!!
Now, just so that all you SU Demo's know...I *did* try to use our adhesive sheets that are being sold in the Mini, and it {does} work, but the beads/glitter will rub off :( The Sookwang sticky paper is ULTRA STICKY so it does work better...
Thanks for stoppin' in tonight - be sure to hop on back in the morning - I have a secret I will share!!!! :)

Diva Coffee Break Challenge #172 and a Flutterby Challenge with Another Sneak Peek!!

I got my Stamp Camp class all prepared and ready to go! Yipeeee! I'm so excited that I'm getting things organized and ready - I got a phone call today and a lady would like to have a workshop on April 27 or 28, so now I have MORE prep to do :) But...at least I have my other 3 classes almost all done! Yay! So....Kim and I decided to make cards together tonight - and take a break from cutting cardstock for classes...fun! She wanted to make Tamie's daughter, Kaitlyn, a birthday card and I wanted to get the Diva Coffee Challenge done and out of my mind. I have had this image stamped and colored ALL DAY and I kept looking at her and wanting to make a card, but NO..work first! HEE HEE...My card also qualifies for the new challenge over at Flutterby Wednesdays. It's an "OPEN" challenge so it's whatever goes....

It's another sneak peek from the new Summer Mini starting May 1st...be sure to get your hands on a copy - there are A LOT of goodies in there that I *know* you will want (NEED) to have! ha ha...the embossing folder is a new one too....

Stamps: A Little Bit of Magic (new Summer Mini); Paper: Choc Chip, Cameo Coral, So Saffron, Whisper White, Flamingo DSP; Ink: Versafine Black, Choc Chip (sponging); Accessories: Nestabilities, So Saffron ribbon, brown ribbon, scallop trim border punch, sponge dauber, markers, dimensionals, Square Lattice embossing folder (new Summer Mini), pearls, linen thread

Isn't she just ADORABLE? For all you fairy-addicted stampers out there - Stampin' Up! has a great set for ya! Watch for it!!!

Kim's card was made using one of my Bella's.....

Didn't she do an INCREDIBLE job?! I had a lot of fun stamping with my girl tonight...now I'm about ready for bed...tomorrow is a big day again! I have some more challenges to get done and we have to go and help a very special girl celebrate her 8th birthday! See you in the morning! Happy creating!

Sneak Peek and Play Date Cafe Challenge #25....

I'm back with another challenge and a sneak peek from the new Summer Mini catty! I decided to do the Play Date Cafe color challenge of white/black/orange and I knew *exactly* which stamp I wanted to show you....it's a new one from the back of the Summer Mini catty that starts May 1st. I scoped around the challenge blogs looking for just the right sketch for my featured stamp...and I came back to the Mojo Monday sketch from this past Monday....hope you like it!

I totally LOVE the Night and Day DSP that was in the Holiday Mini...I sure hope they bring it into the main catalog in July! My DH helped me color the motorbike ... see, he's useful sometimes LOL...hahahaha! Just teasin...he's always helping me with my cards and he has to "inspect" every one I complete.
Stamps: Motorcycle (Summer Mini), It's Your Birthday; Paper: Whisper White, Basic Black, Pumpkin Pie, Night and Day DSP; Ink: Versafine Black, Basic Black; Accessories: clear embossing powder, markers (pumpkin pie, gray), paper piercer, dimensionals, adhesive pearls
Alright...I'm outta here to start cutting paper for another upcoming class - a Stamp Camp, being held at my house on April 29th...and it's FULL! Yay! Gotta love when the classes fill up! I'll probably be back a bit later on tonight with another installment! I'm hoping to work on the Diva Coffee Break color challenge of Chocolate Chip, Cameo Coral and So Saffron (with another sneak peek from the new Summer Mini!) Ciao!

Birthday Stamp-A-Stack Card #3

Happy Saturday! It's another bright, sunshiney day here in central Alberta...temps are supposed to reach 20C again today - time to dig out some shorts and flip flops. Yay! I just wish I felt 100% better and could enjoy the heat, but with a head cold, it's not really a lot of fun.

DH is going into town after a bit to do some errands, go to the chiro, etc., so I am going to get busy and get a few challenges done here in my craft room and I only have one more project to prepare for my monthy club get-together happening next Sunday! Yay me!! I am normally scrambling like crazy to get ready and I've gotten 3 classes ready to go all by myself! Love it!

OK..enough ramblin....here is the 3rd card we will be creating at this month's Stamp-A-Stack. It can be used for a Male, or Teen birthday and you could use it for ANY color combo:

Stamps: Vintage Labels (SAB); Paper: Soft Suede, Whisper White; Ink: Dusty Durango, Soft Suede; Accessories: large circle punch, scallop circle punch, soft suede ribbon, silver brads, embossing folder, dimensionals, clear blocks

This is a nice, clean, simple card that won't take the girls very long to pump out. I like the simplicity of cards like this - that still make a nice, bold statement!

I hope you have a chance to enjoy the wonderful sunshine today, wherever you are. Thanks for poppin' in to enjoy your morning coffee with me - I'll be back in a while! Bye!
