CAS at Totally Stampalicious!

Happy Totally Stampalicious Monday! I hope everyone had a wonderful Mother's Day - I got to relax (as much as I know how to -giggle) for most of the day and spend it with all of my family - hubby was also home! I also got to help DH with some logging - got my workout in deadlifting trees - ha!!

Our challenge this week over at Totally Stampalicious is Clean and Simple. Easy peesy, right?!? Well....I, for some reason have difficulty with CAS cards. I love them, I love the looks of them, I love the clean and crispness of them, but I find the difficult to make. I always feel there is something "missing." This time, I left my card the way it is and I really like it! :)

I used the newly-released Gus and Stella Anniversary from last month's release....the sentiments are awesome in this set! They make me chuckle....

Do you love to color? Do you like to have fun? Totally Stampalicious is having a Design Team call!! Yep, you heard me....come and read all about it HERE!! Ciao!

SPCC #52, Mojo Monday and a Sneak Peek!

I am still recouperating from my wild and wonderful 40th birthday weekend and today is a lazy-sit-around kinda day...it felt so good to sit and create a card! I used the Scrapmaster's Paradise color combo and the Mojo Monday sketch for this card. This Level I Hostess set is from the new 2010 - 2011 Stampin' Up! Idea Book & Catalog...it sure is pretty! The store where I sell my cards at asked me to make some more anniversary, wedding, male birthday and birthday cards, so I had better get started hey?! :)

...here is my card using both challenges:

Stamps: Because I Care, Teeny Tiny Wishes; Paper: Bravo Burgundy, Pretty in Pink, Mellow Moss, Whisper White; Ink: markers (burgundy, pretty in pink, mellow moss); Accessories: nestabilities, sizzlits Lots of Tags Label 1, Modern Label punch, Word Window punch, brads, dimensionals, pretty in pink ribbon, cuttlebug folder

Thanks for stopping in this afternoon...I am hoping to be back with another installment tonight! Take care....

Wedding CASE

Good evening my crafting PEEPS out there in blogland....it's been a wicked-crazy week, let me tell ya...my kids' last day of sending in school work was today, so since we started school late this year, we were cramming all week. Plus, I've had an emotional time of it as we finally got someone to listen to us regarding our complaints as to WHY we are now homeschooling the kids - and things are FINALLY going to be done about it. It's been a LONNNGGGGGG week! LOL...but a good one in the end. :)

Now, I probably didn't tell you, but Melissa and I went scrapbooking in Jasper last weekend with a group of wild and crazy ladies - Joycelyn and Becky (from Totally Stampalicious) and our good friend, Diana and her friend Ronda. All these girls grew up together and went to school together and it was a hoot meeting them all and spending quality "close-quarters" with all 4 of these fabulous ladies - hearing about their school years and wild and crazy things they've done.

Anywhoooo...to get to the point of my blog post LOL...Joycelyn made a beyoootiful wedding card on her blog for a challenge a while ago, and I've been saving a copy of the card on my computer for quite some time because I had to order the set to CASE it! LOL...So...now I have the set, and I just *had* to re-build this gorgeous wedding card. I am a total FAN of red/white/black for weddings so I hope she doesn't mind me copying her card....My card qualifies for this week's challenge over at Crafty Creations Challenges where they want us to use "White, Black and a splash of Red"....click HERE to check out hers.....here is mine:

Stamps: Together Forever; Paper: Whisper White, Basic Black, Real Red; Ink: Versafine Black; Accessories: pearls, scallop trim punch, dimensionals, red satin ribbon, finial press embossing folder

Thanks, Joycelyn for such a GORGEOUS card! I might do up a few of these so that I can have them on hand for weddings/anniversaries in the future! You ROCK girl!

Thanks for stoppin in tonight...don't forget to check out my BLOG CANDY (button on top right) and also be sure to hop on over to the Picture Perfect Creations blog and join us in our Color Challenge #15 - Megan has a great prize up for grabs!! :)

PPC - CC#13 Fifth Ave Floral

Happy Monday morning! It's been another busy weekend with 4-H Achievements Day on Saturday and my stamping club on Sunday so I haven't had a chance to get "inky" much the past week or so and I'm really starting to feel it...I couldn't wait to sit down and get to work on this color combo from Picture Perfect Creations last night - I so have missed being in my craft room!

Megan has a BEYOOTIFUL color combo this week...I know, I know, you're thinkin' "with Green Galore?!" but yes, once you get it all put together - these colors can work FABBY together! I am really happy with how my card turned out (not like I'm tootin' my own horn or anything LOL) I didn't use a sketch this week, just "wung it" from my own head! Wow, hey?! :o) Here's the color challenge this week:
