Wedding Bells at 4 Crafty Chicks!

Happy Thursday! One more day and the weekend is here! Any big plans? Not sure what we have going on - maybe some beach time somewhere?

Our hostess-with-the-mostess over at 4 Crafty Chicks is Tamie this week and she's bringing you a "Wedding" challenge! It took me a while to come up with my card for this challenge. Normally, I would do an elegant, soft card but this time around, I decided to crack open my Love Birds Simply Scrappin' Kit (retired) and make a fun, cute card. I hope you enjoy these two love birds:

PPC - CC#65 Cute Shower Card

Good Monday morning, crafty PEEPS out there in blogland :) I hope you had a fantastic weekend! I did!! Guess what?!? I got both my kids packed up and off to camp yesterday! Yep, you got it - I am ALONE for a whole week! *insert large grin here* Now, please don't get me wrong, I love my kiddos to smitherines....however, I am the type of person who needs a break from people every now and then. And...they've been with me every day (except the odd weekend here and there) for two whole years being homeschooled! I have been looking forward to this camp week for a while now...Whatever shall I do with myself?!?! CRAFT, you say?! I think so! *giggle, snort!*

OK, enough about me - as you can see from the above picture, Megan, over at Picture Perfect Creations has given us an interesting color palette to work with this week. I struggled a little bit trying to decide what image to use for it and a while back, Tamie and I were at her local scrapbook store and found this cutie patootie La-La-Land Crafts moo-cow! Isn't she adorable?! I had a great day coloring her with Tamie in her craft room - thanks, friend!

Stamps: LaLa Land Crafts, Teeny Tiny Wishes; Paper: Whisper White, Basic Black, Real Red, Regal Rose, River Rock DSP; Ink: Momento Black; Accessories: black satin ribbon, scallop edge punch, word window punch, modern label punch, nestabilities, dimensionals, markers, pearls, dots embossing folder

Click HERE to take a look-see at what the rest of the Design Team has created using this color combo. Be sure to link up your 3D project, scrapbook page or card HERE for us to leave you some lovin' :) Happy creating....I'm off to brew some coffee, light some candles, crank my tunes and start my week of kid-free living! Whoop! Whoop!

I love yellow/black/white together - and then to make it a wedding theme challenge was perfect! I decided to ink up the wonderful flower in the Verve set, Love's Flower.....

...and here is the inside of the card using more of the stamp set and the sentiment is from Little Paper Shop....

Wedding CASE

Good evening my crafting PEEPS out there in blogland....it's been a wicked-crazy week, let me tell ya...my kids' last day of sending in school work was today, so since we started school late this year, we were cramming all week. Plus, I've had an emotional time of it as we finally got someone to listen to us regarding our complaints as to WHY we are now homeschooling the kids - and things are FINALLY going to be done about it. It's been a LONNNGGGGGG week! LOL...but a good one in the end. :)

Now, I probably didn't tell you, but Melissa and I went scrapbooking in Jasper last weekend with a group of wild and crazy ladies - Joycelyn and Becky (from Totally Stampalicious) and our good friend, Diana and her friend Ronda. All these girls grew up together and went to school together and it was a hoot meeting them all and spending quality "close-quarters" with all 4 of these fabulous ladies - hearing about their school years and wild and crazy things they've done.

Anywhoooo...to get to the point of my blog post LOL...Joycelyn made a beyoootiful wedding card on her blog for a challenge a while ago, and I've been saving a copy of the card on my computer for quite some time because I had to order the set to CASE it! LOL...So...now I have the set, and I just *had* to re-build this gorgeous wedding card. I am a total FAN of red/white/black for weddings so I hope she doesn't mind me copying her card....My card qualifies for this week's challenge over at Crafty Creations Challenges where they want us to use "White, Black and a splash of Red"....click HERE to check out hers.....here is mine:

Stamps: Together Forever; Paper: Whisper White, Basic Black, Real Red; Ink: Versafine Black; Accessories: pearls, scallop trim punch, dimensionals, red satin ribbon, finial press embossing folder

Thanks, Joycelyn for such a GORGEOUS card! I might do up a few of these so that I can have them on hand for weddings/anniversaries in the future! You ROCK girl!

Thanks for stoppin in tonight...don't forget to check out my BLOG CANDY (button on top right) and also be sure to hop on over to the Picture Perfect Creations blog and join us in our Color Challenge #15 - Megan has a great prize up for grabs!! :)

Here Comes The Bride....

OK..I have to admit, I totally CASE'd this GOOORGEOUS card from Jodi over at SCS. It is *the* most beautiful card I've come across in a long time...I don't know if it's the red/black/white combo (one of my ultimate fav's) or just the way she layed it all out, but...I HAD to copy one. Thanks, Jodi!! I am planning on duplicating it more tomorrow - I'm off to cuddle up in my warm bed with a great book my friend, Melissa, lent me called Firefly Lane by Kristin Hannah. Amazing, hey, Tamie!! Don't fall over girlie...hee hee. Night all!
