4 CCC #163 {Crazy about Wheels!}

Welcome back to another 4 Crafty Chicks Thursday!!

This week, it is our newbie "chick," Bonnie, who is issuing our challenge and she's wanting to see "WHEELS" on your projects.

I went through my WHOLE stamp stash (and for those who know me, it is quite large, so it took a while LOL) but I found this cute Stamping Bella that I've been hoarding and has never seen ink :( Poor, poor thing!

I never have enough wedding cards in my stash, so this was perfect :)

I hope you get some time this week to come and play along with us Chicks over at 4 Crafty Chicks! We'd love to see what you come up with ;) CHEERS!

A New Year at 4 Crafty Chicks....

Hello everyone! I am home again....we got back around 9 p.m. tonight and unloaded our truck. It is chilly here in central Alberta once again. We had a very enjoyable Christmas with my Dad and his girlfriend and now back home to get ready for New Years! LOL...

Speaking of New Years....the challenge I set over at 4 Crafty Chicks this week is "A New Year." Now, that can mean many things....a celebration, resolutions, goals, etc. For ME...2011 is going to be ALL ABOUT ME! Sounds selfish doesn't it? Well, that's good!!! LOL It's my year for health. Now, I'm not talking resolutions, because quite frankly, I don't believe in them....this is my continued efforts with my fitness regime with my trainer and really focusing more on eating CLEAN, along with having more mental stress removed from my life! I am also going to be taking more time out of life to enjoy my CRAFTING...whatever that may be - stamping, scrapbooking, crochet or cross stitch! :)

So, that being said - I just *had* to ink up one of my fav stamp sets from Stampingbella that shows that my health is what a new year means to me...I also found this gorgeous color combo over at Stacey's Stamping Stage to use for my image:

Stamps: Stampingbella; Paper: Whisper White, Early Espresso, Baja Breeze DP, Pear Pizzazz DP; Ink: Versafine Onyx Black; Accessories: rub-on's, markers, espresso ribbon, nestabilities, paper piercer, dimensionals

Please be sure to check out the other projects the rest of the Chicks created for this challenge. Their links are on my righthand sidebar! I am looking forward to seeing what a NEW YEAR means to you!

Happy New Year to all of you!

Pastel Valentine...

Good afternoon! I snuck in another card today in between helping my kids with their school work and getting lunches and supper made :) This time it was with colors that I don't use very often..the pastels. The color challenge comes from the Colour Create Challenge Blog. Be sure to pop on over and take part in this wonderful combination of colors! I decided to use a Bella for this card, and she is soooo "stinkin" cute (to quote my good friend, Tamie...luv ya girlie)

Recipe:
Stamps: Acrylic stamps and Teeny Tiny Wishes
Paper: Whisper White, Going Gray, Bashful Blue, Pretty in Pink
Ink: Black Versafine, Basic Gray
Accessories: clear embossing powder, paper piercer, embossing die cuts, embossing folders, scallop eyelet border punch, scallop border punch, dimensionals, markers, gems, pretty in pink ribbon, horizontal slot punch, corner punch

Both my kids are being home-schooled this year and so it is rare for me to have a full "ME" day by myself and tomorrow I just *MIGHT* get one! Kim is gone overnight to a friends house tonight and Calvin might be going to a friends too - maybe not overnight tonight, but for sure in the morning, so it will be just LIL 'OL ME here tomorrow for the majority of the day - until I need to hit the gym and pick up my daughter from gymnastics!! Oh...what trouble could I get into in the crafting world?!?! Hee Hee....
I hope you all have a fantastic evening...I'll be back a bit later - I have a few more challenges I'd love to check out! TTYL....
Happy Stamping!!

Color Throwdown and Mojo Sketch Challenge

Good afternoon PEEPS!
We are experiencing high winds again today, but NUTHIN' like last night (insert wide eyes here). My good friend, Melissa, and I had to work Bingo last night and when we left the bingo hall, we didn't realize it would be THE MOST dangerous ride home we've ever experienced. We had 100 km/hr winds, along with flurries, and visibility was NEGATIVE. Melissa was my "ditch guide" and told me when I was getting too close to the right-hand ditch and there were a couple times we had to actually STOP right in the middle of the highway cuz I didn't have any bearings at all and couldn't see anything, not even the hood of my van :( What normally takes us about 1/2 hour to get home, took me 1.5 hours! I was never so happy to see my house and the chilled bottle of wine that I had in my fridge!!! LOL...I finally fell asleep around 2 a.m. I think...

So....onto today! I got up around 10:15 a.m. and started some coffee, and had my breakfast. I then got right to work baking gingersnaps and homemade buns. My son and Melissa's son are quite happy today (Sam spent the night last night) that I have decided to have a hunker-down-and-bake day :o) I am done all the baking for today and decided to sit and power stamp some cards out. I have a big craft sale on Thursday and Friday next week, so I need to pump out some serious cards here in the next few days. I am using my Bella's today along with Stampin' Up! sayings etc. I decided to take a stab at the Color Throwdown this week, and like Melissa, they are not colors I would ever think of trying to put together, but ya know...after I did this card, I don't mind the colors at all. So, it does pay to try a challenge here and there! I hope you enjoy the next few posts I have for you - I'll be crafting for the rest of the day/night....take care and happy stamping!

Recipe:
Stamps: A Little Something, "Daisybella" from Stamping Bella
Ink: Versafine Black Onyx, Real Red, Brocade Blue, Black, So Saffron, Certainly Celery, Blush Blossom, Close to Cocoa
Paper: Whisper White, Basic Black, Real Red, Brocade Blue
Accessories: cuttlebug folders, unknown ribbon, paper piercer, square scallop punch, 1 1/4" square punch, dimensionals, blender pen, red adhesive gem

Bikerbabeabella.....

Isn't she just the CUUUUTEST???!!! I love the images from Stamping Bella and today I decided it was time I got them inky! This one is Bikerbabeabella and I had a lot of fun coloring her with my ink pads and blender pen. And of course, a bella has to have SOME bling on her so I added a gem to the wheel and the gas tank! I dug through my *stash* of designer paper and found this coordinating paper to go with her. The main card is an already embossed card from Michael's (5.5 x 5.5") in a box I have been storing away in my cupboard....thanks for looking!!
