PPC - CC#30 and DCBC #193 - Sympathy Card

It's time again for a wonderful color challenge from Picture Perfect Creations....Megan picked a great trio for this week, don'tchya think?! When I laid them out on my craft table, the first thing that screamed out to me was "BOY COLORS!" However, that is not were I went with my creation...last Thursday evening, I got a phone call from a very distraught friend of mine who had just lost a wonderful friend to a plane crash and I *knew* right then and there, I was making a sympathy card. The colors are perfect for it.

I combined my colors with the gorgeous, simple sketch from Diva Coffee Break Designs Blog:

...and here is my sympathy card using both challenges:

Stamps: Forever in Our Hearts (Verve); Paper: Early Espresso, Pear Pizazz, Bashful Blue, Whisper White, Pear Pizazz DP; Ink: Pear Pizazz, Early Espresso, Bashful Blue; Accessories: nestabilities, paper piercer, pearls, scallop trim border punch, dimensionals, flowers, boho blossoms punch, elegant lines embossing folder

Please be sure to check out all the wonderful inspiration the rest of the DT has left for you on their blogs - links are on the right-hand sidebar. Be sure to join us and link your creation back on the PPC Challenge site HERE! I can't wait to see what all you come up with! Happy crafting!

  1. Is it bad that I love your sympathy card? I do! The pearls and stitching add that perfect touch.

  2. I'm sorry to hear about your friend's loss. Making sympathy cards when you have someone in mind to give it to is so hard. Your card is beautiful and the sentiment is very thoughtful.
