Red and Gold at Merry Monday!

Anything Goes at 4 Crafty Chicks!

Happy "4 Crafty Chicks" Thursday everyone! October has 5 Thursdays in it so that means we are hosting a CRAZY EGG challenge this week and I get to play hostess!! The theme for our crazy egg challenges are always ANYTHING GOES....so, let your creativity fly and come enter whatever you'd like: 3D projects, cards, scrapbooking, etc. You name it, we'd love to see it!

4 CC #270 ANYTHING GOES

For my card this week, I decided to make another Halloween card. I don't make many of these as I don't have a lot of supplies/stamps for the holiday - but thanks to last week's challenge, I now have TONS of awesome ideas!! 

This was another "easy-peesy" card that took about 10 mins to make! LOVE THOSE :) The raven image was already printed on some paper in a Halloween pack so I cut the strip out, layered it on black then added a cobweb doily, some twine and a few gumdrops! The embossed polka dot paper was also included in the Halloween paper pack :)

Merry Monday #177 {lights & glitter}

 

Welcome back to my corner of the "crafty web" folks! The mornings are getting more and more frosty and chilly here in central Alberta, CANADA....the winter months are getting closer. I am looking forward to the cozy days card making and crocheting - resting up a bit as I have a lot of yard/gardening work I do throughout the summer months ;)

This week over at Merry Monday, miss Wendy is wanting to see some Christmas lights and glitter on our cards! Awesome challenge, Wendy!

For my card, I dug out a cute set from The Alley Way Stamps called "Chill Out." I drew the light string lines free hand using a large candle jar as my guide, then stamped the lights and colored them with copics and added some Crystal Effects to each one:

The image panel is layered onto some red glitter paper....so fun :)

Happy "4 Crafty Chicks" Thursday!! This week, it is my turn to bring you all the challenge - and as you can probably guess, it's "HALLOWEEN!"

4 CC #269 HALLOWEEN

My card came together in about 10 minutes, if that..LOL! I cut out a stamped ghost image from an older Stampin' Up! set called Hey, Ghoul Friend, then popped it up on some designer paper that had everything pre-printed on it! Added some gumdrops from Your Next Stamp and wa-laaa - done!!

I really hope to see a lot of entries in the gallery over at 4 Crafty Chicks challenge blog this week - the creativity around Halloween time is awesome and I need some more ideas as I don't have a lot of goodies that are focused on this holiday! Merry Monday #176 {Making a Frame}

Welcome back to another challenge from Merry Monday Christmas Card Challenge! There is approximately 2 months left until the holidays...do you have cards ready for the mail yet? Come on over and join us each Monday and you can have one card a week DONE! WAHOOOO.....

This week, miss Sue is our hostess and she's looking for Christmas cards with a "FRAME" on it....

I have had very little time for crafting this past little while, so I wanted to make something very quick and simple....I love how this turned out - added some buttons to the base card and then cut out a frame with my 'Lil Inker Designs stitched squares die....I am thinking if I make more of these, I will tie some twine around the base of the tree (right below the buttons) for the finishing touch ;)

4 CC #267 {masking}

Hello there!! This week at 4 Crafty Chicks, miss Tina is our hostess-with-the-mostess and she's looking for some projects using the MASKING technique. I punched a circle out of a piece of printer paper the same size as my white card front and sponged some orange and yellow ink on it to create a sun....I wanted a deep POP of color against the black trees and I think I got it!! I really like this and how it is the focal point of the card.

Java Time at Merry Monday!

 Welcome back to my blog to see what I've been up to....working full time has put a bit of a damper on my card making but I'm hoping to get the yard all cleaned up and "winterized" soon so that on my days off, I can thoroughly enjoy some craft cave time with candles and yep, COFFEE!! :)

My card was created using the Perfect Blend set from Stampin' Up! and some wonderful Christmas papers which I distressed :) Love the plaid coffee cozy - reminds me of red flannel :)

As you can see from the card I made this week, my favorite is SWEET. I really do like savory foods also, but if push came to shove and I HAD to choose one or the other to only have, I think I'd have sweet to satisfy my sweet tooth :)

Happy "4 Crafty Chicks" Thursday!! It is my turn to play hostess and this week's challenge is a theme:

4 CC #265 {sparkle & shine}

So that means we want to see sparkly papers, glitter, gems, bling, shiny ribbons, or embossing etc. Anything you would consider sparkly and shiny - we wanna see it!!
 

I used some shiny silver SU! paper, embossed it with an ornaments embossing folder then added some gems randomly for added sparkle. The JOY sentiment is cut out of sookwang paper with blue glitter sprinkled on the top layer....so fun!! I hope you enjoy this challenge as much as I did!

Happy "4 Crafty Chicks" Thursday everyone! The leaves are changing colors, the temperatures are falling, the air is crisp and fresh here in central Alberta, CANADA. Fall is here. I love the colors! I am hoping to get in a few more back yard firepit sessions before it's too cold or that snow stuff comes...maybe this weekend!

Happy Thursday! Today I am combining 2 DT challenges into one card. That doesn't happen very often but this week, it all worked out :)

The challenge over at 4 Crafty Chicks is "BIRTHDAY" as it is Tina's turn to play hostess and her birthday falls in this week! Happy Birthday friend! For my card, I am using some new to me Your Next Stamp dies (the balloon and the Happy Birthday)

And the challenge at As You Like It is to "USE  YOUR FAVORITE DIE" and tell why it's your favorite. I used my stitched rectangle die from 'Lil Inker Designs...I use my rectangle dies A LOT...almost every card. They are extremely versatile and make a crisp, defined outline on any layer or image panel :)
