Mojo Monday and OCC bring a 2-Cup Day!

On Saturday, Melissa and I went to Red Deer for the day and we *had* to stop in at Scrapbooker's Paradise to shop :) I found a cute new monkey to bring home into my craft room and I think he's fitting in quite nicely - he sure is a cutie! Changito from Stampendous is his name and he sure has some cute poses and sayings that I might just have to start *collecting* LOL...

This morning I decided to give the Mojo Monday "Square or Round" Challenge a go and I picked the square card today as it fit my image better. The color challenge over at Our Creative Corner is amazing, I must say! I totally LOVE this color combination they chose this week - might even make some Christmas cards with it! Yep, you heard me right...it *is* almost time to start thinking about that....giggle!
...here is my cutie pie monkey holding not one, but 2 cups of joe - my kinda guy! *wink*

Stamps: Two Cup Changito Set (Stampendous); Paper: So Saffron, Early Espresso, Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive, Whisper White, Old Olive DP; Ink: Versafine Black, Basic Black; Accessories: markers, paper piercer, dimensionals, nestabilities, oval punches, early espresso ribbon, embossing folder, photo corner punch, pearls

Thanks for poppin' in on this cold, rainy, dreary Monday....I hope you all have some time to sit with a hot beverage (or cold if you like - wink) and get inky today! Cheers!

Sunday 5-in-1

Hello everyone out there in BLOGGER land! It feels soooo good to craft "just cuz" :) It's been a long time since I've had the time to sit and make something that isn't just for design team work, and it feels fantastic!

Today, Tamie, let me know of a few challenges that are happening this week and she is also the Guest Designer this month over at Sweet Stamping Challenge Blog and their challenge is "Pink," so that was my starting point. I needed a sketch, so I hopped on over to the Clean and Simple Stamping Challenge Blog and found this:

...I have been wanting to "attempt" a clean-and-simple card for some time now and I think I did ok (didn't I?) *giggle* I find CAS cards very difficult and this one {might be} a bit too detailed even still...I will work on it and maybe create a few more tonight *wink*

My card also qualifies for the following challenges:

Here is my card using all 5 challenges:

Stamps: Birthday Cupcake (Inkadinkado); Paper: Whisper White, Basic Black, Pretty in Pink; Ink: Versafine Black, Momento Black; Accessories: perfect dots embossing folder, pretty in pink satin ribbon, scallop edge punch, markers, dimensionals

Thanks for stopping in this afternoon - I'm in the process of packing up my daughter for 4H Camp tomorrow, but I'm *hoping* to create one more tonight! Ciao!

PPC - CC#16 and OCCSC#18

Hello there my wonderful crafting PEEPS! I stayed overnight at Tamie's in Millet on Saturday night and we stayed up late stamping images and coloring them so we could have a "stash" of finished images at our fingertips! :) Yesterday was also a fun day for my daughter, Kim, and I...we went with Tamie and her daughter, Kaitlyn, to the Canadian Rhythmic Gymnastics Finals in Edmonton! That was so neat to watch - those girls can do some AMAZING things with ribbons, balls, clubs and their f-l-e-x-i-b-l-e bodies, let me tell ya! Thanks, Tamie, for a super great day and night!

This week's color challenge over at Picture Perfect Creations was a fun one for me - thanks Megan! :) Be sure to hop on over and create a card, scrapbook page or 3D project to play along with us! Along with Megan's fun color challenge, I also found an awesome sketch over at Our Creative Corner challenge blog...

...here is my card using both challenges:

Stamps: Crazy for Cupcakes, On Your Birthday; Ink: Basic Black, Sahara Sand; Paper: Whisper White, Sweet Pea DP, Regal Rose, Pacific Point; Accessories: PP ribbon, eyelet border punch, paper piercer; nestabilities, word window punch, sponge, dimensionals, markers, blender pen
Thanks for stopping in tonight! Don't forget to click on each of the Design Team's names on the left hand sidebar so that you can see all their creations of inspiration. Please leave them some luvin's and be sure so link YOUR creations to our challenge so that we can give YOU some luvin's! Happy stampin!

DH is home and I also have Luke and Ember (my niece and nephew) here to hang with the kids and keep them occupied...which means - more time for ME in my craft room YAY! :o) The temperature is still cold here in central Alberta (7C) and looks like more rain could fall at any given moment....

Today's card incorporates 3 challenges: Flutter By Wednesday's "Flowers and Butterflies," The Play Date Cafe's color challenge of light pink, light yellow and light green (I used Pretty in Pink, Banana, and Celery), and Our Creative Corner's sketch challenge:

3-in-1 and a SU! CASE

Welcome back! The rain has started and we now have *puddles!* Yay! We so desperately need the moisture - I'm not really looking forward to the winter storm warning we are in, but I guess the snow will help with moisture too right?!

My next card came from my May issue of Stampin' Success - a magazine for us Demos. They were showcasing the new colors and I came across a card that they had in there and I wanted to CASE it with Arielle's color combo over at the ColourQ Challenge Blog. A Spoon Full of Sugar wants us to make something that has been 3D on our creations - I used pop up's for some of the circles and over at Our Creative Corner, they are wanting Blossoms on our cards/scrapbook pages - I have 2 daisies on mine. I really like how it turned out - I hope you do too!

Stamps: Circle Circus, Wow Flowers; Paper: Cameo Coral, Whisper White, Sage Shadow, Always Artichoke (I put more AA on the inside too), Bravo Burgundy; Ink: Bravo Burgundy; Accessories: various circle punches, sizzix daisies die, white brads, dimensionals, glue pen

I hope you are enjoying your day :) Stop by later for more!
