STS #27 {Saying Goodbye}

 

Welcome back to another sketch challenge from Seize the Sketch! It is with a sad heart (but an understanding one at that) that I inform you this will be the LAST sketch from STS. Lesley has decided to close the challenge blog down and move aside for new and upcoming challenge blogs to have their turn. It has been SO AMAZING working with this team of super talented ladies and the friendships I have made will live on in other cyber areas, that I can guarantee! I took the liberty of turning my card and doing a landscape layout as my images were a bit too large to do the portrait layout....I really loved this sketch, Cathy! A person can go totally CAS or jazz it up real good! Awesome!!

Welcome back to my blog! This week over at Seize the Sketch, miss Katie is our "sketcher" and here's what she'd like us to play with:

I stuck very true to the sketch this week adding a large daisy flower (Lesley...does that flower look familiar?!) and my die cut "hi" sentiment....

I really love the CAS aspect of this sketch, although, a person could jazz it up big time! Awesome layout, Katie, thanks!!

STS #23 {Cheers!}

Welcome back to my blog everyone! This week is an extremely busy week for me - our annual Ponoka Stampede is in town and we run a food booth on the infield (for contestants and their families/workers) for fundraising for our daughters competitive swim club, The Ponoka Pool Sharks. I work breakfast shift every day, and usually every other evening shift as well...it's a crazy week, but I love it! The food booth is a ton of fun ....and who doesn't love to see all that cowboy "eye candy?" Added bonus, I say! LOL...

This week, our sketcher for challenge #23 at Seize the Sketch, is none other than miss Lee Ann! I really love this sketch - there are so many different things you could do with it.....thanks Lee Ann!

 

 I had a lot of fun using different dies to make my card this week:

There is Reverse Confetti, MFT, Paper Smooches and Lil' Inker Designs all on this card :D I added some bling gems and white twine to my button die and wa-laa!! Done! These colors are from the new In Colors at Stampin' Up!

{Summer Fun} at Twisted Tuesday and STS #21

Welcome back to my blog :) This week at Twisted Tuesday Challenges, the challenge is "Summer Fun" and we are to showcase children playing and we are to have a sun on our project....this also marks my last week on the DT at Twisted Tuesday and I would like to just say a huge THANK YOU to Melina and all the girls on the Design Team. I've had so much fun being sent out of my comfort zone with the twists each week - and the girls are amazing to work with! Hopefully, I will see you all again in the fall! Summer is so busy for me and our crop spraying business, I just feel I need to scale down a bit until the weather turns cooler ;)

I am also the "sketch hostess" over at Seize the Sketch so I decided to make a combination card this week:

This cute image is a pre-colored digi from Digital Delights...they have so many awesome digi stamps to choose from - go check 'em out some time! I added my sun and cloud die cuts and stamped Good Times from the Celebrate Cake set at Reverse Confetti....thought it was the perfect day to take the picture outside and show off all my gorgeous sunshine-yellow dandelions in the background LOL.....

STS #19 Reminder {Very Special Someone!}

I had a lot of fun creating another card for this sketch - I borrowed the Chalk Talk stamp set and die from my good friend Diane from Diane's Stampin' Creations! and got inky! Love the colors and the overall "fun" feel of this card! Thanks for letting me muck, Diane!

Seize the Sketch #19

This week over at Seize the Sketch, it's Jessi who is playing "sketch hostess" and she's come up with this FUN sketch for ya - that banner row can be altered in so many ways!! Check it out:

For my card this week, I stayed very true to the sketch, except my banner row is not straight across the whole width of the card...I "hung" it like a party banner! Whoop!

3-in-1 Easter Wishes

I had a very miraculous thing happen to me when I created this card...yep, you heard right - "miraculous!" I could combine 3 Design Team commitments into this one card: {PIN}spirational Challenges, Twisted Tuesday challenges and Seize the Sketch! I was so tickled - I have been short of crafty time the past couple weeks, so when I realized I could "make them all work together" I did a jig!

I took the liberty of making my card a square 5.5 x 5.5 card to accommodate my image and butterflies....

The challenge at Twisted Tuesday Challenges for the next 2 weeks is "I Need Your Paperwork" so you have to use more than 3 patterned papers (I used 3 - third one is on the butterflies!) 

THE TWIST: You can't do your paperwork without a pen. Show us writing or doodling on your creation (I doodled the butterfly trails).

STS #17 {Easter Greetings}

Welcome back to another challenge from Seize the Sketch hosted by Jen Mitchell....

 

I received some awesome HAPPY MAIL last week from Reverse Confetti and got to work right away:

I stayed pretty true to the sketch but added some twine to the bottom of the image panel. 

This Carton Cuties stamp set and matching dies are AWESOME! I ended up going pretty CAS on this one and I cannot wait to muck with this set some more! So fun!!

This week at Seize the Sketch, our wonderful sketcher is Jen Nelson, and she's come up with an awesome layout that can be either very CAS or layered up - I chose CAS :)

 

 

I totally fell in love with this image from Redonkadoodles and wanted to use her this week! I embossed my green panel and added some enamel dots - done! Easy peesy! The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink. Such a fun card :)
