I had a difficult time choosing between these 2 categories....I really, really love some birds and little chickies but I also have a soft spot for teddy bears and other "fur" animals....so I chose these 2 cuties and decided on FUR....and my reason is just because you can cuddle with bears and kitties and puppies...but not so much birds LOL....

As you are reading this, I am with my bestie, Leanne, for our annual "girls trip" to Big Valley Jamboree - enjoying some major headliners such as Brad Paisley, Reba, Lady Antebellum and much more!!! I will check in with some pics next week after the long weekend.....

I really need to update the stamp cupboard with some beach/sea/sand stamps!! I don't have any :( I found this pre-colored digi in my stash and I created the sand and water using my copics...doesn't he look like he's totally enjoying summer?! I love it...

Welcome back to my blog everyone....Wow, did we EVER get a wicked thunderstorm last night O.O I cannot believe how much lightning, thunder and WIND there was....I will go check the rain gauge right away but I am pretty sure it was close to an inch of rain. There was some hail too but the garden looks "ok" from the house - will toodle out later once it dries up a bit....

For my card, I already had this image from Doctor Digi House of Stamps colored (when Tamie and I went to visit Leanne) so I cut her out with a stitched rectangle mat, popped her up on some woodgrain paper, added a die cut sun - walaaaaa! Done.

Welcome to "4 Crafty Chicks" Thursday! I am not sure about you, but here in central Alberta, CANADA, we've been experiencing some pretty HOT temperatures for the past few weeks (without rain) and there are a lot of farmers in desperate need of moisture. This challenge seems appropriate right about now LOL

Miss Tina is our hostess for this week's theme and I printed out this pre-colored digi and did some funky layering, added some gumdrops and a sentiment and wa-laaaa! Done!

Now before you get all bent out of shape that I wish it was Christmas already, you can relax lol...I just wish we would get a cool-down and some rain...that's all! But on the days where its 33C outside, a little snow would be a welcome sight! LOL...just sayin'

Nothing says summer time than flip flops, sundresses and ice cream!! I used this adorable pre-colored digi from Mo Manning (found these awesome gems at my local scrapbook store and let me tell ya, they've come in so handy when I'm behind or in a pinch for a quick card!)

My TIP for this week is to fussy cut a small border around your main image panel for that added POP of color or depth!

Thanks for stopping in! I am a bit late getting some cards/posts done so I spent the entire day in the craft room and got caught up on some DT commitments....feels great! One of them is this week's Merry Monday challenge - Use a Penguin on Your Card - hosted by Wendy:

I have quite a few "pre-colored" digis that I won through challenge blogs and some I have purchased in the past - this is one that I won a year ago....he's super cute and I was already behind, so I tweaked the coloring a bit and made it sort of vintage(y) feeling - no sentiment needed, he's just THAT cute!

Happy Monday folks! This week at The Pink Elephant, we are CAS'ing and THANKING Sheri Gilson from Paper Crafty's Creations! Sheri has been with The Pink Elephant since it's inception in 2009 and I have been an admirer of hers for YEARS....her talent in paper coordination and super GORGEOUS cards just awes me....

Here is the card I decided to CAS - (by the way, there are sooooo many of Sheri's cards that I *could* have picked but I just loved the pink/white on this one and I decided to CAS it almost to the letter lol):

4 CC #253 {no stamping!}

Happy 4 Crafty Chicks Thursday everyone! It has been such an extremely busy week for my daughter, Kim, and I as our annual Ponoka Stampede was in town and we work the infield food booth for her competitive swim club. It's our only fundraiser for the whole year and it pays extremely well but man oh man - it's a tiring week!! LOL....now it's over and we can start our summer! Finding her a job and getting her a car - fun!

This week miss Leanne is our hostess-with-the-mostess and she's looking for projects with NO STAMPING! With all the dies that are out there right now including sentiment and word dies, this challenge is FUN! Show us what ya got!

For my card, I dug out my Reverse Confetti goodies and got to work:

My "for you" is cut out with fun foam for a bit of dimension and I added some gum drops from Your Next Stamp for some extra jazz...hope you like it!
