hey...let's have coffee

Happy Tuesday everyone! Three days left of this amazing blog hop and the entries I've seen so far just blow me away...the talent in this crafting community is just phenomenal. Not to mention all the coffee/tea related stamps, dies and embellishments - I cannot WAIT to shop! :) 

Here is my 2nd card of the hop - made with the Stampin' Up! May Paper Pumpkin kit called A Kit in Color.

The "let's have coffee" sentiment is from the Gerda Steiner Designs set called Coffeesaurus and the coffee cup is from a sweet set Amy sent me called Mini Hello Autumn from Flora & Fauna stamps. So stinkin' cute and they worked perfect for this bold "hey" sentiment in the kit!

The embellishments that come in the kit are so fun - vellum, enamel star dots, twine and these awesome die cut clouds :) FUN!!!

Coffee Loving Cardmakers Fall/Winter Blog Hop!!

Today is Day 1 of our Fall/Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop and we are sooo excited :) This time, there will no longer be a seasonal theme requirement for the linked up projects so the doors are WIDE OPEN coffee-lovin' crafters...get your craft on!

I loved creating this #madforplaid card for the hop today - I stamped the red cardstock with the Buffalo Check stamp from Stampin' Up! using Early Espresso ink and it turned out beautifully. 

The cups are dies from the Stampin' Up! set Coffee Cafe, hello friend dies are from My Favorite Things and the knit cable embossing folder is from Stampin' Up! as well.

For my first card, I used the oh-so-fun set called "Caffeinated" and I will definitely be using this set, along with the matching dies, a lot in the future! SO FUN!

I used the iced coffee/tea die and cut it out of the black front layer then secured it over top of the white card base in my Misti and stamped the image inside the die cut hole so it would match up. I then stamped the image again on the polka dot yellow paper and fussy cut it out. I used Copics to color in the straw to match the designer paper. 

I then stamped the "cute tea" sentiment from the "Caffeinated Two" set onto the same yellow polka dot paper and mounted it on the black front panel and used dimensionals to pop up the entire black panel for some added dimension.

For my second card, I used the other coffee cup from the Caffeinated set and the "err mah gerd" sentiment is again from the Caffeinated Two stamp set...makes me giggle every time I hear this saying hahaha ... when coffee tastes good, I say it - A LOT! ;) 

I did a bit of paper piecing for the sleeve of the cup to tie it into the bottom layer designer paper...so fun!

Coffee with a Friend

Hello, hello crafty friends! It is a long weekend here in Canada, so I have the day off work and it's going to be a busy one - I will be food prepping today and getting my laundry caught up as I have been planting the garden, shopping for flowers and mowing the grass this past weekend! The winds have been chilly but it's better than the white stuff!! :)

Now, I wish I could take credit for this one, but alas, I cannot. This gorgeous card was made by my best friend, Leanne and it's one of my favorite craft room decorations - I HAD to share it with you all. It was made with the Heartfelt Creations paper pack and lots of pretty flowers.

 

Isn't it just the prettiest thing EVER?!? Thanks so much friend - I display it proudly in my craft room and I admire it daily! I hope you all have a fantastic Monday and have a chance to get crafty! CHEERS everyone!
