Coffee....

Happy Monday! Another new week awaits us - and this card really cracks me up! I love this sentiment...so perfect for a Monday morning! hhhahaha I am up on the Coffee Loving Cardmakers blog with this funny card:

Stamps and coffee cup die are from CAS-ual Fridays and it's a very CAS design this week but I feel the pop of pink color brightens up the overall effect (and our week ahead!) lol

Thank you so much for stopping in today! Make your Monday a good one, CHEERS!!!

Collab Hop with CAS-ual Fridays and Coffee Loving Cardmakers!

Happy Friday and welcome back to my blog. Today the Coffee Loving Cardmakers and CAS-ual Fridays Stamps have joined together to bring you a collaborative blog hop featuring all things coffee! Yay!!
For both of my cards, I am featuring the Coffee Talk stamps set and Coffee Cup Fri-Dies

For my first card, I wanted to bring out some pretty Christmas papers and use some of the sentiments in the stamp set:

I heat embossed the sentiments on the top and bottom red pieces with winter white embossing powder, and used the coffee die for the word coffee on the cup...I also popped up the coffee cup and coffee using foam dots for a bit of dimension.
For my 2nd card, I went for the Fall papers :) One of my favorite seasons due to the rich, beautiful colors!

I love this coffee cup in plaid! There are so many ways to use it!! And that baby mug is just adorable!

Thank you so much for stopping in today! Be sure to hop on through the links below or you can jump over to the Coffee Loving Cardmakers blog to check out all the details! Cheers!

MM #193 {bells}

For this week's challenge over at Merry Monday Christmas Challenge, miss Linda is looking for Christmas Bells on our projects...

I scoured my rubber/clear stamps, and digi's and I did not own ONE bell image at all. So...a girl just has to do what a girl just has to do and I went and purchased this gorgeous set of Christmas Bells from Wee Stamps - the sentiment is from  CAS-ual Fridays....

Would you like to have the chance to come play with us as our Guest Designer for a week? Come on over to the MM challenge blog and check it out - we'd love to have you!! Happy crafting!!

Merry Monday #186 {White on White}

Happy New Year everyone!! I hope you have enjoyed a relaxing, wonderful holiday season surrounded with the love of family and friends. Unfortunately, on the evening of Boxing Day, I inherited some nasty chest/head cold bugs and have been sick ever since. It's getting better and I'm out walking in the crisp, fresh air....hoping to kill some bugs and rejuvenate myself LOL...This week will be un-decorating the house and getting things back into a routine around here ...

We are starting another year of challenges over at Merry Monday Christmas Card Challenge so if you would like to have a bundle of cards ready for the mail by the end of the year - come check it out:

White-on-white cards have always been difficult for me but I really, really enjoy how this one turned out:

I used Lawn Fawn snowflake die from their set called Stitched Snowflakes and a new stamp set from CAS-ual Fridays called Snowing Sayings - perfect combination :)

Come on over to the challenge blog and check out the other STUNNING creations from the rest of the Merry Makers - they have blown us away! Happy crafting!

4 CC #275 {Winter}

Happy "4 Crafty Chicks" Thursday!

We are starting a new month and that means miss Leanne is our hostess this week and we have a brand new Guest Designer joining us in the hen house :) Welcome, Tina!!

Leanne's challenge this week is WINTER and I just knew right away that this pair were the perfect image to showcase! They are having so much fun....lol

The image is a pre-colored digi from Mo Manning, and the sentiment is from CAS-ual Fridays set called Snowy Sayings. I remember going out with my Dad and my sisters on our cross-country ski's all over our farm - it was so much fun. This card brings back some great winter memories for me!

Be sure to hop on over to the hen house and see what the rest of the Chicks (and Tina, our Guest Designer) have created just for you. Then, link up your WINTER creation for us to come visit you! Happy crafting!

{CFC122} {Fusion} and {PS Sparks}

 Happy Friday crafty PEEPS! Wow, it's C-O-L-D here in central Alberta, CANADA this morning! My thermometer is at -36C and with the wind chill, that's -43C! There are extreme wind chill warnings out throughout our province and I'm so very thankful that today was a day off for the kids...and I do not have to venture out so you know what that means right?! Yep, time to get my craft on with candles lit, and a little heater by my feet! ;)

This morning, I combined 3 challenges in one! CAS-ual Fridays wants to see a "tree or trees" on our projects:

 Then, I came across some wonderful news - Lesley is re-opening the FUSION challenge blog starting in January, and they are looking for a few new DT's....I am playing along with their challenge this week - use either the photo as inspiration (colors, textures, images, etc.) or use the sketch on it's own, OR...combine both for FUSION.... (I took the tree aspect along with the red/white colors from the photo for my card)

PLUS...over at Paper Smooches, they are looking for January's Guest Designer - so I'm throwing my name in the hat with that one - by also playing along in the SPARKS "Anything Goes" challenge this week!

I used the uber-cute set from Paper Smooches called Warm Hearts to create my little scene of trees....fussy cut each tree and added some twine, gems and popped the main image up on the red card base. I absolutely LOVE how this turned out!

I would also like to enter this card into "December Winter/Holiday" challenge over at One Crazy Stamper.

Thanks so much for stopping in today - I will hopefully be back with another "for-fun" card today! I'm off to refill my coffee cup and clean up my desk to start all over! Stay warm!!!

DD #77, TTS3, CFC119 and OCS!! {Happy Holidays!}

Happy Sunday!! This is what we woke up to this morning here in central Alberta! It started last night and it's still snowing now but the wind has started and it's NOT nice out there!

Great day to hunker down and craft, you say?! And drink coffee?! And light candles?! HECK YA!!! Here's a card I have done for the Dynamic Duos #77 "Bold and Cheery" week:

I got my sketch from Tis' The Season Challenge blog and the option is also "STRIPES" - I used my striped embossing folder, but it is difficult to see in the photos (I promise they are there! LOL)

The adorable image is from byLORi Designs and the sentiment is from "Christmas Magic" by TAWS...I had SUCH fun coloring these cuties - here's a close up of the snow family:

The challenge over at CAS-ual Fridays is to either heat/dry emboss...like I said earlier, I used my striped embossing folder but it's very hard to see in my photos - it IS there, trust me! LOL...

I would also enter my card into One Crazy Stamper's monthly "Christmas Challenge" and into Christmas Card Challenges for their "Dimension" challenge

Thanks for stopping in today - I am off to start some laundry and do some baking and will get crafty again!! Stay warm!! Cheers!

Another "FUN" Card?!? {CFC109; PPA163 and Seize The Birthday!}

Happy Saturday!! If you are looking for my Dynamic Duos post for today - please scroll down ;)

I had a glorious sleep-in this morning and decided that before I get to any household chores, I'm brewing a STRONG coffee, plunkin' myself in my craft room and gettin' inky!! And that I did ....

Today, I wanted to enter another card into the Seize the Birthday July Linky Party....

I went in search of an awesome color combination and came across the perfect one at Pals Paper Arts Challenge Blog:

I am really trying to keep my cards CAS these days, so I headed on over to CAS-ual Fridays and lo-and-behold...they wanna see polka dots! EASY PEEZY!!

 ...and without further adieu, here is the card I came up with for 3 challenges:

Stamps: Paper Smooches (Birthday Set); The Alley Way Stamps (Jibber Jabber and Tag-alongs)
Paper: Very Vanilla, Midnight Muse, Cherry Cobbler
Ink: Midnight Muse, Cherry Cobbler, Tuxedo Black (Momento)
Accessories: Large Polka Dot and Lego Polka Dot embossing folders, pearls

Thanks for stopping in today - the sun is shining here in central Alberta and it's a glorious day! I am packing up my girl for a week-long camping trip with friends so there's a lot to do! Have a super day and one never knows .... I just *might* be back for another crafty session later today! Cheers!
