Good afternoon! Today has been a fairly laid back, relaxing kinda day...we got our taxes done, bread is in the bread maker, supper is on the stove, and I actually got some crafting in - yippeee!
I came across a very stunning card over at Kathleen's blog, "My Happy Stamping Place" and I've wanted to CASE it for a while now - with the Play Date Cafe's color challenge of dark blue, light blue and white, I decided now would be a good time to give them a try! I did them in 2 different colors - both using Brilliant Blue, Turquoise and White. I hope you enjoy them. Thanks, Kathleen, for the gorgeous idea for a quick, simple but elegant card!!
Kathleen used the Finial Press embossing folder, turned it over, and brayered on the flat side with color to create her own background paper. I think they are just stunning - and could you imagine what color combinations you could make with it? Kathleen's Razzleberry and plum is beautiful too - make sure you check it out!
Stamps: Short and Sweet; Paper: Whisper White, Brilliant Blue, Tempting Turquoise; Ink: Brilliant Blue, Tempting Turquoise; Accessories: finial press, brayer, beautiful butterflies sizzlits, paper piercer, scallop trim punch, dimensionals, pearls
What a cool idea, I will have to try it too. Making your own paper is very cool. TFS!!! Happy Crafting.
