Welcome back to another challenge from The Pink Elephant! This week it's an inspiration challenge from this gorgeous picture:
I have been checking out crafty "how-to" and "technique" videos on You Tube for everything crafty and I really liked one I came across: to use the negative space with dies....
I used a stitched mat from 'Lil Inker Designs to cut out my focal layer and then used a MFT flower die to cut the negative from. It was then layered on my Melon Mambo to allow the hot pink to shine through :) I stamped my gorgeous big sentiment from Papertrey Ink and added some ribbon and a few pearls and wa-laaa! Done! The bottom layer is dry embossed with my large polka dots embossing folder and the main layer is added with foam tape. Easy peesy! I really love this technique and will be doing it more often with my dies!
Thanks for stopping in today and I really encourage you to hop on over to The Pink Elephant challenge blog HERE to see what the rest of the uber-talented DT has created for your viewing pleasure :) I sure do hope you get a chance to super excited to be back tomorrow
Lori - this is just stunning! Love the colors and I really need that embossing folder! (I looked all over this weekend and couldn't find one!)
