Happy Mother's Day

Happy Monday! I am back with another post for the "A Cut Above" Creative Team!

If you aren’t familiar with A Cut Above, we share monthly challenges that are all about die-cutting. The challenges are always anything goes - with the condition of at least one die cut used (defined by using a die cut machine, manual or electronic, not a purchased pre-fabricated die cut).

Just for clarity, this is not a newly made card and it has a bit of a story behind it. I do apologize in advance, it's not a super happy story, but I thought I would share it with you all anyways. I made this card for my Mom - YEARS AGO (like I'm talking approx. 8 years ago or so) - and never sent it or hand delivered it to her. I kept thinking "it's too bulky, I will just hand deliver it one day." And it was tucked away in a special card box I have in my craft room closet on the top shelf, forgotten.

I was going through and gutting out my closet about a week ago, and guess what I found? Yep - this card. And, unfortunately, I can't give it to her now as she passed away last August :( When I found it, I broke down and had a good cry and was angry at first, but you know - I thought, "I will give it to another amazing Momma and share the love of my Mom with it as I pass it on."

Her heavenly birthday was last week on April 30th and Mother's Day is coming up so it's a little bit of a hard time right now - we all miss her. I just wanted to say - if you are hesitant about sending something to someone cuz it's bulky, or will cost too much etc., don't be. Send the cards. Send a note. Say hi, thinking of you, you're doing a great job, or just I LOVE YOU. xoxoxo

Here's a close up of my card:

That's my card for this month's challenge - thanks for stopping in. I do hope you will join us! We would love to have you! Cheers!
