I have always loved a good birthday party!! This week over at 4 Crafty Chicks, it is my turn to play challenge hostess. I am a country girl at heart and I love to decorate with a rustic/country decor. GINGHAM is a fabric that totally reminds me of country and that's what I'd like to see on your projects this week....so that can be fabric, ribbon, paper etc.

I scoured my rubber/clear stamps, and digi's and I did not own ONE bell image at all. So...a girl just has to do what a girl just has to do and I went and purchased this gorgeous set of Christmas Bells from Wee Stamps - the sentiment is from  CAS-ual Fridays....

I prefer the everyday folds on cards but this one I wanted to showcase to you all. Isn't it fun? The 2 pieces are held together with your front image panel - and the possibilities for this are endless! I don't normally venture too far away from the regular A2 cards - once in a while I will do a funky shaped/folded card but not very often....

MM #191 {Chalkboard Technique}

 

Welcome to another awesome challenge at Merry Monday Christmas Card Challenge! Kristie is our hostess this week and she's wanting us to incorporate the "chalkboard technique" on your cards in some form - check it out:

I decided to use this beautiful scenery stamp from Stampin' Up and "smudged" some white chalk paint around the treed area with a sponge after embossing the image with winter winter white embossing powder. I love the crisp, sharp look of this card! Awesome challenge, Kristie!!

Merry Monday #190 {Santa!}

This week's challenge at Merry Monday is being brought to you by our super talented, Debbie, and she's looking for projects with SANTA on them! Believe it or not, I don't have a lot of stamps or papers with Santa :( I need to rectify that!

I went digging through my stash and came across this cutie Santa in an older Stampin' Up! set called Sparkly and Bright....and decided to make a treat tent for holding chocolates, mints or candies :) Here is a close up:
