I know lots of people feel that way... and now I believe it too. We had a very sad evening last night - we lost a very special "kitty" that has been with us for a few years. "CHAMP" was a great big, fluffy, FUNNY, fat cat that had a very unique personality :o) I feel terrible cuz it was me who accidentally ran over him :o( The kids took it very hard, especially Calvin as Champ was his pet. I grew up on the farm as a kid and I "know" logically that a cat is a cat and there are many, many cats out there and they come and go so regularly on a farm - but when it's your kids' hearts that get broken and you see the sadness and loss - it's so hard! Needless to say, I haven't felt much like creating in the past 24 hours, but I have to make some Valentine's Day cards for the store and so I made myself sit down and do a challenge this afternoon while Kim was doing her Math...and I must say - it made me feel better. It takes your mind off things for a while and lets you escape to the crafting realm :)
I checked out
Inspirational Card Sketches today from Tuesday's challenge and figured I would be able to make some Valentine's Day cards from their great sketch:

ReplyDeleteThis is a great card Love the way you put it to-gether.
ReplyDeletewowsers...awesome friend...very nice...and yes stamping is therapy...for all sorts of reasons...hugs to you my friend about Champ...still hard!
ReplyDeleteNow THIS is a Valentine! Just beautiful... obvious that you put your thoughts into it - and better into this card than into negative space. It's always better to channel your emotions into something positive. You're a wonderful mother for caring about Calivn's feelings and understanding his loss. That's what counts.
ReplyDeletegreat card, love the bling, so sorry to hear about your cat, you get so attached to them, thanks for laying with us at ics this week.
